Any time I stop in there are always people gaming and hanging out. Friendly, knowledgeable staff; an all around welcoming environment. Game nights and tournaments throughout the week for various TCGs, Warhammer, etc. (All of which can be found on their Discord)!

They give great value for singles being traded in, (better than any other location in the Cedar Valley to my knowledge) and their singles pricing is based off of TCGPlayer market price without having to wait for shipping and hope that it shows up!

To top it all off, they've got a great selection of sealed TCG products, Dragon Shield sleeves, minis, paint, binders, dice, the list goes on. Do yourself a favor and give them a visit!

I have altered my review as the store has acknowledged the issue and has/will be resolving it.

Good people working, good selection of products, in a spacious environment given the size of the store. My initial gripe was probably due to growing pains of the store, live and learn.

Fantastic LGS and now has a decent sized game room. Prices on product are very competitive and trade in rates on magic the gathering cards are definitely the best in Iowa!

Once I found out about this place and learned it was very close to my house I had to check it out because I use to play competitive card games in Middle School. Its been an outstanding place to rekindle that love for competition and card games. Friendly staff and owner is always going above and beyond to make sure his community is taken care of. This card shop is exactly what Cedar Falls needed for a long time. Although there are other card shops in the area most of them dont care much about the competitive aspect of them where as at Dark vassal its fueled by competition! highly recommend anyone looking to get into / back into a card game.

I went in their multiple times to sell Cards but they wouldn't take any of them saying "They were not in good condition" when the cards were clearly perfect. I wouldn't recommend going there to sell your cards.

Stumbled across this store last fall. After a few minutes talking with the owner, he suggested I drop in and check out one of the active D&D campaigns. Ended up joining the Monday group and they became fast friends. Eventually got involved with Warhammer Wednesdays too. You won’t find a more welcoming community of gamers.
