I went to this place for the first time just over the weekend. The Decatur park district has really outdone themselves with this place. Drinks are reasonably priced, and they allow food trucks to bring in wide varieties of food for their events. 100% would go again.

Loved this venue. Sat in the "Terrace" section where you used your own chairs, and I thot the view was pretty good. Orchestra pit was standing room only, then a seated section (which were sold out by the time I found out about the concert! Then the Terrace section, which were concrete slabs with artificial grass, then a huge lawn section at the top. You were allowed to bring blankets & chairs ... Tix were very reasonable! Of course U can tell by the name that it sits by a lake, so it makes for a great backdrop for the stage. It helped that I thoroughly enjoyed the musical artists "Get the Led Out," a Led Zeppelin tribute band that rocked the house! It seems they have a great lineup of guests appearing there, so check it out, you might get to have an ultimate experience at the Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater like I did!

I've worked live music events in Australia and the US nearing 15 years, and this is one of my favourite venues.

The space is fantastic, atmosphere is always a lot of fun, and I've always been SO impressed by the sound and lighting techs. There are many factors at outdoor venues that can mess with the sound, and even in slightly undesirable weather whoever has been in charge of sound has been on their A-game.

Highly recommend if a band you like is swinging by here. You'll love it. Just make sure to bring a good picnic blanket and something comfy to sit on if you're in the lawn section.
