Amazing Ice cream joint in the Jacksonville area of Florida.

Stopped for ice cream on the way back from a long day of driving and getting stuff done. This was just what we needed.

The service was great and the staff was great with the menu and recommendations.

The menu isn't overly large for an ice cream place but that's ok, it means they can focus on making what they do good and keeps it quick.

They had bread pudding when we went which is my favorite dessert and one I've NEVER had from an ice cream place. That alone makes this a 5/5 for me, but everything else was good too. We also ordered a strawberry shortcake Sunday.

Overall the best Ice cream place I have ever been to in Florida.

Do not buy their banana split if you dislike the taste of unripe bananas. What’s the highlight of a “banana split”? The last 4 times I have had a banana split the bananas have been green. It wasn’t like that when they first opened and building up their Middleburg clientele. But lately it’s been a disappointment. I mentioned it to the person taking my order one time. Next time I was back, the same issue happened, and this past Sunday the same thing. Maybe some day they’ll use ripe, sweet bananas.

Going Places

We have tried many icecream places and this one, always aims to please. Great customer service, fast and friendly, and the shakes are great. This is a place with an awsome mocha shake too. Always good, we will be a repeat customer for sure.

Ice cream quality, service and atmosphere took a severe decline when it was sold. The old couple that owned it before was impeccable, them and their children did a phenomenal job serving the community. We knew it had been sold, but gave the new line up the benefit of doubt. Sorry to say we were not impressed. The ice cream tasted watery and like it had frost bite. The servers at the front were not friendly, couldn’t remember who had what. They had a line from hell. We won’t be back. We have lived in Middleburg for a long time and seen businesses come and go in this particular plaza. It would be nice to have another convenient store in this location.

Dreamette is always delicious. It’s great that there is a Middleburg location for those that are further outside Jax. You get a lot for your money too.

Edit for response- my main complaint was the lack of stellar customer service & quality. It’s went down dramatically as we went every weekend when the old owners were there. Since the change, we rarely go for a reason. The old owners knew each order & were so nice. You can tell the new staff doesn’t care like that. It’s chaos like I said. You can refute it all you want but at the end of the day the lack of quality will drive this business out like many others. What was once an amazing ice cream place is not now. You can write five paragraphs to respond to me all you want but constructive criticism can make or break your business, it’s best to take the criticism reevaluate and fix what’s wrong. Your local customers are your target audience & if they’re not satisfied they will stop coming eventually. Instead of making it sound like a me problem because I’m not “understanding”, evaluate your service and quality.

One star now instead of my previous five star review. I feel like management must have changed as this place is so disorganized & terrible now. My family received melted ice cream tonight & the woman handing them out called the ice cream the wrong names, it was chaotic nobody knew what their order was due to this. Super disorganized, nobody cares about your experience like they used to. A little girl puked by the order window which just made it even worse. The quality of the ice cream is so bad now, the people serving it don’t care now, I miss the older married couple who used to run this establishment. It’s gone down the hill since. Never going back, I recommend Culver’s instead for ice cream. Consistent and not low quality chaotic.

Always a family friendly fun stop! We take the kids all the time and also go here for date nights!!
