Barely any lights out, not worth $20. It's worth like $5-10 max. Go to the coulterville light display they have a drive through and walk through with about 5x the amount duquoin and no entry fee, you can donate money though which I do recommend so they'll still continue.

Always a fun place. We like taking kids and just walking around seeing everything. Had a LOT of food vendors. If you need food that's the place to go. The merchant vendors aren't there like they used to be but still some. Kids had fun on the rides while we looked at RVs. Great time

We haven’t been here in years! We came on the first Sunday of the fair, in the afternoon.
We went through the gate off of route 14 and found front row parking everywhere. The whole fair wasn’t busy at all.
I recommend buying the wristband if your planning on buying over 20 tickets ($25), because for $30 dollars you can get unlimited rides.

The 2023 Du Quoin State Fair was the busiest I have seen in quite some time. There were a ton of booths, great music, and the atmosphere was electric.

DON'T GO TO THE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!!! Absolute waste of money!!!! The website says $10 But it's $20 and is not even close to being worth it. Your kids will be very underwhelmed. Very aggravating thinking it's going to be some awesome display of lights and there are a total of 20 different light fixtures. Whoever put this on should be ashamed of themselves!!!

Happy to be back at the fair. Missed it last year during Covid. Went on Labor Day and it was much busier than I ever remember the last day being. Thankful for a sunny day for my son to get to ride rides. I was surprised he didn't pass out on the way home. The food was good as always. The place that serves tiki tea ended up being my favorite once I found out you could refill ANY cup from anywhere with them for a dollar!
