Had a great time and escaped with 13 minutes to spare. Completed it with two adults and two kids (8 and 10). We did the wizard room which had a nice variety of puzzles to solve. Would go back to do another room.

So for a dreary day, this is a really good option. We did pick the medium room I think based on the difficulty. And well difficult we actually did accomplish our task and completed successfully.

It was really fun for the children and for the adults interestingly, we actually, kind of bypassed one of the clues and got actually further ahead than we were supposed to, but it still all worked out in the end.

I would like to come back and try the harder one at some point.

This is also a really reasonably priced offering for the Vail Valley, which is surprising.

We had such a fun time at Escape Vail! It’s dog friendly so we didn’t have to leave my pup at home or in the car. We escaped with 40 seconds to spare! Definitely go check out this awesome place!

It was our first time so we did not know what to expect and we really enjoyed the problem solving. Our host was very friendly and attentive, and the only negative was that the facility was quite run down and in an obscure location.

You know an escape room operation has to be exceptional when your team is willing to do two of the rooms available in a 24-hour window. Such is the case with Escape Room Vail, an essential destination for anyone with even a fleeting interest in these puzzle experiences.

While we had previously done the "wizard school" scenario and had a blast, it had been a number of years since we were passing through Vail once again. This time around, we opted for the "pet store" challenge.

Due to a mixup earlier in the day (which was entirely our own doing), we took a chance and called this place to see if we would possibly be able to do our room earlier than our scheduled arrival time. The owner graciously allowed us to do this, and I consider that a testament to their awesome customer service. With the door unlocked, we walked in and got to work in a room that was quite enjoyable.

As is always the case with escape rooms, you can't really talk specifics or mechanics without spoiling things. Suffice it to say, the "pet store" was a blast. The last... puzzle/obstacle is absolutely one of the most fun challenges any of us have come across, and we've done nearly 40 of these rooms. I could see it being a "love/hate" puzzle depending on who you are with, but keep an open mind and it's a ton of fun.

(Speaking of open minds, asking for a clue during your experience is also a ton of fun. Whereas most rooms tell you to just ask for a clue, this one asks you and your teammates to impersonate your favorite animal. Did I audibly "moo" to request a clue that would help me solve a puzzle? You better believe I did.)

Once we escaped the "pet store" and its dastardly villain, we opted to come back the next day to tackle the "naughty list" scenario in Santa's workshop. Even though I often find myself identifying with the Grinch, this room was just as solid as the "pet store" experience. No spoilers, of course, but this was absolutely a joy to play through, and I could see it being a must-try activity for families of all ages.

You can tell the owners take care and pride in every facet of their business. The waiting room is inviting, the rooms are thoughtful and the staff seem like the kind of folks you've known for years despite just meeting them that afternoon. They are clearly down-to-earth and eager to welcome all visitors, and I know I'm personally looking forward to whatever they come up with next.

We completed the wizard school room and it was a lot of fun! Very creative and captivating Harry Potter atmosphere. Karen was also a great host!

My Husband and I tried this out for an afternoon off from skiing in February. We had never done an escape room and weren't sure what to expect. We did the wizard School escape room and loved it!!!
Our host was great. She insured we were well informed of what to do and was fun and engaging. She obviously enjoys what she does.
I was amazed at all the attention to detail and the many surprises. The room was quite challenging however we were able to solve it but only with the addition of lots of clues. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Beaver Creek.
