We did fortunes favor escape room. The two rooms were packed with super cute detailed decorations and puzzles. Definitely a challenging escape room. Kaitlin was fantastic!

It was a blast! The room made you feel like you were in the set itself. We played The Crypt and the spooky vibes was on point with Halloween around the corner. Kaitlyn was our game master and she was freakin awesome! She was engaging and very pleasant. We’ll be back!

I had the opportunity to play all three games they had available when I went. The different challenge levels were apparent, the most challenging of the rooms requiring our group to use most of our hunts, but all of the rooms were incredible fun none the less. There were enough puzzles for each person to be working on something and not feel left out. Staff was incredibly nice, place was well maintained, and we even made the monthly leader board! Overall great first escape room experience and can't wait to see what other rooms they add in the future

Fortunes favor was pretty entertaining. Everyone in the group I went with has done a bunch of other escape rooms and we all had a good time. Our team really loved the hint system with its clarification and the standardization of rules to make it onto the leaderboard. Marcus was our game master and was great at explaining the room, game mechanics, and rules.

Some issues we ran into were the legibility of the written notes and clues. I know that they wanted it to be old/worn but some of the clues were not particularly easy to read and (artfully) torn in a way that didn’t line up with other parts making the message harder to read. The clues also had different handwriting with some being easier to read and others were very difficult to understand. There was a bunch of foam used to add texture but some of the foam had been picked at making it difficult to distinguish between the different symbols.

The lobby was nice with chairs and games for waiting plus they had a few things for sale. One thing that took me by surprise was that you could bring all of your stuff into the room and I don’t think they had lockers.

My husband and I did our first escape room today at Escape Sacramento. Being first timers we were not quite sure what to expect so we chose The Seance since that was recommended for total beginners. We were completely impressed with Kaitlin who was our Operator because she was knowledgeable, professional and friendly and I cannot believe all of the information she was able to share with us off of the top of her head! She was also able to help us along by giving us one or two gentle nudges when we misunderstood something or our eyesight was failing us and we were misreading a number. We enjoyed the variety of puzzles, putting our thinking caps on and I was finally able to put my years of playing Nancy Drew video games to good use! We cannot wait to take our adult kids with us next time and do the one that is slightly harder. We will definitely be back!!

Nick was great! My team tried "The Seance" with lights off, and it was the perfect blend of puzzle and fun. Highly recommend!

Had so much fun at Escape Sacramento! My boyfriend and I went to celebrate our anniversary and we went through “The Seance”. No shortage of puzzles and the special effects were thrilling. We appreciated the details in the room and the challenge itself was well worth the money spent. With just the two us, we definitely felt pressure when time was reaching ten minutes left. Charles, our game host, was helpful, kind, and friendly the entire time. He was very transparent about how “scary” the room when I asked as I am sensitive to jumpscares and loud noises. It wasn’t scary like that. The special effects are more surprising than scary. You can always exit from the door you came in to use the bathroom, take a break, or get some water (the time to escape is not paused). The clues they give are not too revealing and help just enough to make our heads think a little longer. We had a blast and will definitely return!
