Very interesting tour. The house is on a beautiful piece of land. I only am giving this 4 stars because it is hard to get to this location. You have to reserve seats on a shuttle that picks you up in town and takes you into the gated community.

There is a restroom made out of a retired train car behind the station where the shuttle picks you up. There is also a grocery store, restaurants, and shops near by.

The tour guides here are excellent and really help the site shine. I knew very little going into this experience and had a great time nonetheless.

Do note that you must make reservations in advance, though they are free and not too hard to get.

You cannot walk up and visit if you don’t have a reservation— visits are tied to the tours offered.

The bus pickup spot is NOT at the site itself. When navigating, do not use Eugene O’Neill as the destination on Google maps, or you’ll go about 10 minutes further than you need to.

There are hiking trails nearby that seemed lovely, but I do not believe you can access them if you took the bus and want to take the bus home.

You have to call ahead and set a reservation for this NHS (there are gates closing off the house's property and no way to enter the house anyway) but it's totally worth it. We so enjoyed our (essentially private) tour with Ms. Joy this week around the Eugene O'Neill NHS.

The NPS bus picks you up in downtown Danville and, if you're lucky, they'll have some nice informational tidbits about Danville along the way. Entrance to this NHS is free of charge -- they just require reservation.

The tour lasts about two hours and is full of incredible history about the life, works, and philosophies of the late Eugene O'Neill and the things that influenced his home and "last harbor".

A comfortable small shuttle takes visitors from the Railroad Parking Lot to the site. A pleasant place to spend an hour.

Nice hillside home with quiet refreshing ranch style surroundings. I've only come in, from the backside hiking trail, to roam around and enjoy the grounds and not taken the tour to go inside the home. But definitely worth coming by to check it out. Maybe take the tour next time myself.

Felt great to visit this historical place of a noble prizer winner, Eugene O' Neil. This eminent writer lived here in Danville along with his wife for more than a decade. You can visit this place only with reservations from NPS( National Park Service). Beautifully located home amidst the valley's. You need to book a shuttle inorder to reach this place.
