Very shady park for the most part. They have a pavilion with picnic tables to sit at and a VERY SMALL playground. With how new this park is I was hoping the playground would be much bigger and modern since this park is pretty large for the small town of Argos. There is also a “Little Free Library” box for the free take a book or leave a book boxes owners construct and place at a public area for people to share to read for free. Super cool! They have security cameras which is good because it is very secluded from main road once you are back on the trail around the ponds over by US 31 and that could feel unsafe at night time. The paved trail goes around the entire area of this park. It reminds me of a nature preserve with wildflowers and wildlife and 3-4 small bodies of water that have GINORMOUS FISH you can fish in the catch at release ponds. I’m not kidding the fish for as long as my seven-year-old we were laughing so hard at how big they were. My only complaint is there was a wooden bridge like walking bridge that went over one of the bodies of water. It wasn’t very deep underneath, but the entire bridge was not secure. If you stepped on a board wrong, it was flipping up on the other side in the air, it’s a huge safety hazard and needs looked into. They need to get all the boards secured back down. Other than that my daughter and I approve we love going to parks.

Stopped here on my way up to Michigan from Indianapolis. Very cute park, well kept, clean restrooms, with beautiful water and permanent cornhole boards.
