Only reason I'm not giving a 5 is because you can't kayak here. (Because it's drinking water) great spot where there isn't a lot of people! Bathrooms are available. Easy access. Beautiful scenery! And during summer you can see hundreds of frogs ? surrounding the lake! ❤dogs welcome too! Benches around. Not much for parking, but you won't have trouble due to not being populated. Enjoy! And as always keep the place clean! Pick up after yourself! ?

Beautiful reservoir for peaceful walks in nature. After a lot of construction and improvements to raise the capacity (~2018-2020), including draining the entire reservoir and clearing trees, the lake is open again for walking, picnics, and fishing.

Since it is a reservoir for drinking water, it makes sense that swimming and boating are not allowed. (Fortunately, Jenkinson Lake nearby allows recreation, like boating and swimming.)

Forebay has a natural/dirt walking trail (a.k.a. bring boots if it has rained), ducks, picnic benches, bathrooms, a small parking area, and an interesting walk atop the dam. Would rate it lower to keep it peaceful, but it's truly a nice
neighborhood lake.

Not exactly scenic. I looked for a local lake for walking my dog, this came up on the map, but the reservoir is surrounded by construction. There are no trails or anything like that.

It was quiet but very muddy. Dont wear shoes you cant wash flip flops are a no go. You have to walk a little to the water. I dont think theres any fish or very little. But still relaxing and nice for a day trip.

This lake had some of the best trout fishing around. Unfortunately the ash from the Caldor fire killed every single fish in the lake. The city said they will not restock it. So sad..
