So the previous owner of the store screwed over the community and left and made the people loyal to him review bomb the store due to his fragile ego when his partner rightfully forced him out. Since the shop is under new management the community has recovered and has a supportive scene, its unfortunate what happened and even sadder that i see some of these unfair reviews on here, so ill just tell it to you straight. The service here is impeccable, the boys always go out of the way to help and clear up any complications or confusion and are just cool to talk to and if they have time will even play a game with you.

they have done a lot to widen their selection as well now carrying some retro consoles and games and holding tournaments for the local FGC (Fighting Game Community). They have snacks and drinks for a reasonable price. And there is always someone playing games.

ygo, pokemon, and magic all have regulars and nights that they play, and have plenty of product and bulk as well as an operating online store. Friendly atmosphere where a lot of the community knows eachother and have had to heal from the schism caused by the previous owner.

my only complaint is that the chairs and tables are a little old but almost every tabletob has a full size mat on for both its and your cards protection, so its hardly noticeable as the rest of the store is clean and kept.

Grab and Go games is a hub of nerdism in Carbondale and i hope it stays for a long time.

Came in to sell some of my personal collection, was greeted by two nice gentlemen, and had great service throughout the time I was there, highly recommend for anyone in southern Illinois if you're into cards!

Smells weird; like no one showers there, its not ventilated and honestly looks like they dont clean much. Also they're not terribly knowledgeable about MTG despite it being about the only thing they sell.

Nice place. Visit everyday to play yugioh or magic. Employees and owner is nice.

Very strange store with very strange people. Not at all family friendly. This place is ran by middle aged men that have terrible sailor mouths. Not suitable for children. There's this weird pattern that shows from this store. About every few months the employees and their friends from here try and turn the community against each other. No one really knows who the owner is, or what is really going on behind the counter. Most of the community is positive that the employees here pay moles to set out and try to spy on other stores in the area. Their sense of community only shows if you are close friends with these people. If you're not "in" with their group of friends, you are basically an outsider and treated very differently. Also, be on the look out for fake cards from here, they have people going out and trying to sell them as real to other stores in the area.

More like Grand and Great games! They have good pricing on singles and sealed product for TCG and a good amount of accessories too (sleeves, boxes, play mats, etc). Owners are friendly and welcoming as is their typical player base. Good spot if you are looking for some trading card game action in the Carbondale area.

I went into this store while I was waiting on food yesterday, I had never been here before and it was amazing! the atmosphere was awesome and the selection was great! The worker at the counter with the beard and hair in a bun was very friendly, never pushy and seemed like he knew what he was talking about. I haven't played magic the gathering or Pokémon in a while, but I think I will be coming back soon for sure!
