Very friendly guide Patty showed us around this small free museum and thoughtfully explained the various exhibits. Lots of interesting information about when the building was a train depot including the segregated ticket counter, as well as displays about local industry such as Delta and Ford factory. We really enjoyed our visit

A tiny but warm place. The staff are extremely friendly. She gave me a private tour and explained everything. What a wonderful experience! I found stories about old train station, ford plants, and even Deng Xiaoping’s pictures when he visited the Ford factory. I highly recommend you to visit here during your flights.

A hidden treasure in quaint downtown Hapeville! We enjoyed our tour yesterday and were amazed at the variety of items on display, from train hoops to vintage Delta memorabilia. Located in a very walkable area with restaurants, parks, and art. We’ll definitely be back!

The museum is really small, but I think that is one of the best things about it. The tour was given by Ms. Patty, and she was very sweet. The museum really throws you back in time. There were lots of clothing items and hardware used for all sorts of things. I especially liked the morse code machine and the hats in the Rich’s magnolia room. The museum was very insightful and I highly recommend taking a look.

So glad we stopped here on our way back to the airport. This little place is chock-full of history, not just about the Train Depot and Hapeville, but also about Atlanta and some major businesses connected to the area. They have a really nice collection of artifacts and memorabilia and the staff is friendly and offer lots of additional info. We didn't realize the Chick Fil A up the street (aka Dwarf House) is the original location and would have missed it, if our tour guide hadn't mentioned it, too, so that was a bonus. The town is cute as well, so definitely make a stop here and check it out.

? A Must-Visit Historical Gem in Georgia!?

The Hapeville Depot Museum is an absolute treasure! ?️ Stepping inside this beautifully restored 1890s train depot, you can feel the rich history and industrial legacy of the region. As one of the oldest remaining depots in Georgia, it offers a fascinating glimpse into the past. ?✨

Our visit was made even more special by the wonderful tour given by Patty Dawson. Her knowledge and enthusiasm brought the exhibits to life and made our experience unforgettable. ?️?

Located in the Hapeville Historic District and recognized on the National Register of Historic Places, this museum is a true testament to the city's heritage. ?

If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and visit, you won't be disappointed! ?️?

Highly recommend!

My friend and i had a great visit; what a gem! We could have spent longer; a fascinating display of train travel & memorbelia, that on permanent display, but we went to see @laurenmerceronart and her women’s exhibit. A very varied mini exhibit. awaited us, a sampling of local women art, that made you want to explore more of their work. The staff is very friendly and a few cards and local cookbook, make up their tiny gift shop!
