I dropped in on Sunday for the Pokemon league and had a great time with a few people at the free play event! The staff are nice and courteous and seem genuinely excited to have people hanging out in the store. Their collection of games and movies is great, too, and fairly priced. I saw some things I hadn't seen since I was a kid.

If you're interested in competing in their Pokemon league or playing other card games, they have play times posted online, and it's a great way to meet new people!

What happened to this place? Had wonderful staff with a great atmosphere. Never had any issues with purchases, but our latest experience was less than satisfying. Acted as if we bothered them while IN the store. Almost all of our discs are covered in ugly scratches and odd smudges as if they are stains, and only 3 of 8 discs work without glitches or skips. I can find the full 1st season of MHA for 40$ brand new when they want 30 for just a part 1 disc, and when we called to ask for a return policy just today they were very uncaring. We will no longer be coming to Hollywood Video for any purchases, and I highly recommend to anyone to get your discs and movie memorabilia elsewhere.

Pickup Stick

Purchased Pokemon Black a while ago for quite a lot and when I got home ready to play it, I found that it has a sizable hole in the back of the game and it will not work at all. I've been back since multiple times different weeks to only constantly be told "we're waiting on security to send images of the scan when we got the game in store" meanwhile being incredibly rude to me saying that "I checked that game when we got it and it didn't have anything wrong with it". Honestly I'm very patient when it comes to this sort of stuff and trusted them to get back with me with the security images, yet they never did, so I'm left here with a broken $160 game and nothing to show for it. If you ever manage to get those images I would very much like to see them, regardless this entire process has been a nightmare for myself.

Moral of the story is to always bring the console if hand held and test products in store because clearly people cannot be trusted regardless of how kind they seem.

Decent store with decent prices. Had a bad experience when they didn't have the disc for the game i wanted 😕, I asked them if I could buy the case and the manual, she said she didn't know if she could do that then proceeded to look up the price and charge me more than if the disc was in there. I declined the offer. If the disc was there I wouldnt have to pay an uncharge, not the customers fault the invetory isnt updated buy the staff. Poor customer service prices should be updated to reflect market value. Would not recommend 😕

The owner is a horrible person. All there stuff is overpriced. They claim there systems and games have been tested but when something doesn't work, they say that it is something your doing. They do not stand behind their products. Terrible customer service from a terrible owner. I will not be back.

Bought a movie didnt work, took back and the lady rebuffed it she showed how it worked on your own dvd player she watched like 30 sec. Said there you go. I had asked if theh had another disc or something but nope she just wanted to buff it and get me out as quick as possible.

So, I just moved to this area from Indianapolis n stumbled upon this gem here. BAM! Staff, best ever! Friendle eager to answer ANY nerd questions on the spot. Prices are always reasonable and fair. I've bought from them several times now and have NEVER been disappointed. 10/10 will continue givin them my hard earn geek funds. Thanks guys n keep up the good work.

Had a bad experience here years ago, but went back after a friend said they had made some improvements. The store looks much better, but they are so unprofessional that I can't see a world where I just wouldn't just make the trip to CardNAll games or TCB instead.

I understand trying to balance a business with a family atmosphere can be tough, yet this store somehow achieves neither.
