The Horseshoe Inn is quite possibly the best kept secret in Harney County (as far as lodging goes). We had planned to camp in the Silvie Mountains for two nights but after the first, we decided being warm was our top priority. We didn’t have prior reservations but thankfully, there was a vacancy at The Horseshoe Inn. The staff was quick and easy to work with. The room was simple and CLEAN with no transients or unsavory people hanging around outside. It offered a table with two chairs, a queen bed, a dresser and a TV. There is a slider off the back side of the rooms and that opens out into a communal yard are complete with what looks like a fire pit. The amenities include coffee in the lobby in the morning, shower necessities in the rooms and, wait for it, an area to put your horses if you’re traveling heavy. The views in the morning and evening were fantastic. Nestled just north of Burns, this is definitely a spot we will be returning to in years to come.

I loved everything about this motel! They answered the phone and reserved my room so I knew I had a place to stay when I arrived an hour or so later. Parking is plentiful and you can park right in front of your room. Far enough away from main road that you cannot hear the traffic. Pleasant and super easy check-in. The room was clean and nicely decorated. There was an added bonus of a horse staying the night in a corral on the property! I would stay here every time I’m in Burns!

A bit out of town, which I liked. Their sign says something asking the lines of being far enough of town to be quiet and close enough to town to be convenient. That covers it! My dogs were welcomed.
Owners are very accommodating and helpful. If in Burns again, I'll stay with them again.

1st time guest here... very pleased with room size, cleanliness inside and outside, and that the motel is not run down, but rather it's cared for. Reasonable rates. Handy location just east of Burns on US Rt. 20. Horse-friendly, too.
