Got there early before it was super hot. Both kids (a tall 12 year old girl and a short 10 year old boy) went while my husband and I sat in the Adirondack chairs to watch. They also have picnic tables with umbrellas and corn hole to enjoy while your kids climb. The two individuals working were the owners and both were extremely nice and encouraging. They walked the kids through the safety guidelines and practice area quickly, but thoroughly so they got to maximize their 90 minutes climbing. Once they were up the kids went whichever direction they wanted. They both stayed on the second level for the majority of the time. They were able to latch & unlatch themselves between the different challenges on their own. They felt very safe and enjoyed the obstacles. At the very end they both climbed to the top tier and did the automatic belayed rope down to the ground. Having done others similar, the kids like this one because it slowed your decent and didn’t make you truly feel like you were falling and crashing. They both landed very gently and were able to unhook themselves. The gentleman did have to go and help my son attach bc he was a little short to reach the rope, but that was the only time he needed help. It was super affordable.

Highly recommend if you need a break from the beach and want the kids to have fun, be challenged and active.

My son loved it and is excited to go back. I think the staff did a great job. The bathrooms were clean so that is always a plus. My son said he liked the diversity of the course. There were some spots that were harder and some that were easier.

I will say we read online that they weigh adults there to see if they’re under 250 but they actually don’t. Or haven’t any of the times my friend has gone or when we went.

I could post a million pictures! We had the BEST time at the Iron Pony today! Hands down the BEST high ropes on the Shore. (Maybe the *only* on the Shore, currently?) Owners are so patient, kind, warm, welcoming, & informative. Within 5 minutes of chatting, we felt like we'd known them for ages! And, most importantly, safety is first. The equipment is top notch, the mandatory educational bit is thorough, and the helpers on the ground & on the course are helpful & encouraging. The entire grounds are spit-and-polish clean. Parking on-site. Clean restrooms on-site. They sell climbing gloves and you may also use your own, if you have them. Waivers available right on the website, and if you're bringing a kid who's not yours, you can pay for their ticket and have their parent separately submit the waiver online. Easy peasey! I can't say enough good about this place or these people. Go, go, go to the Iron Pony! (But leave a few climbing spots for my kids, okay? Lol!)

My wife and I had some free time and couldn’t decide what to do. We’d driven past Iron Pony several times, and figured why not give it a shot. (Well that’s what I said, my wife said she’d happily watch from the ground.” I convinced her to join me, and we both had a blast.

I’m an avid adventurist, and completed all obstacles on both levels of the course. My wife completed all of the lower obstacles. The lower level is more user friendly regardless of athleticism, while the upper level definitely requires more upper body strength and good dexterity. We both took the leap off the pony plunge, and had a blast. It took a little convicting to get my wife to jump, but she was glad she did. (It’s not as scary as it looks, I promise! Think less, just do it!)

Staff were super friendly and did a good job explaining everything. They were encouraging anytime someone was uncertain or needed some guidance.

I highly recommend stopping by and trying this adventure course out! We did the 90 minute course and it was more than enough time to do everything with just 4 people on the course.

I had the best time here with my friends. It is really just non stop enjoyment for hours! I would come here everyday if I could. The staff were so nice and the course had levels of difficulty for all ages. Keep up the great work guys!

Staff was great! My boyfriend wanted to do this and I was terrified but the two employees who worked with us were awesome and taught us everything we needed. Very fun would def suggest and do it again next time!

This place was great! The obstacles were difficult but fun, and the team was great at explaining the safety regulations. The owners are really helpful if you get stuck and will pull you back to safety. I will say, you will definitely be exhausted afterwards so bring ample amounts of water. Overall, I’m very glad that I found this place and will definitely come back

Such a great place, the staff are sooo nice and so helpful. The course is pretty challenging (I only have one other experience to compare it to) but I think that's the point. I only did a few legs of the course and then the pony plunge but I'm looking forward to going back again and try a little more. Staff was there, some on the ground and some up in the course to help if needed. We all had a great time.
