Let’s talk about Family and Community based Fun! Yesterday, the City of Hapeville held their National Night Out event in the park and it was amazing. Though I am not a resident of Hapeville, I am always in the area so I had to show up and support

The park itself is absolutely beautiful. The city has made great use of the space as well as the landscaping is beautiful. The grass is green, the flowers around the fence are colorful and the park presents as a great recreational space as a whole.

The National Night Out event was an abundance of family fun. As it kicked off at 4:00pm, it wasn’t too hot and there was a nice breeze flowing through. There was a train ride for the kids, a dunking station, and ample games and vendors throughout the park. For the adults, the vendor options were ideal for those looking for employment, as well as those who love to support local and small businesses. Yes! There was something for everyone.

As I arrived hungry, (don’t judge me), I was excited to see the assortment of food trucks that were in the parking lot. This was truly the perfect makings for a great family day in the park.

As a whole, I will definitely be returning to Jess Lucas Y-Teen Park as the ambiance is perfect for a me day with lunch and a good book or even to do a few laps around the track as 6 Laps = 1 Mile according to the sign. LoL! No matter the reason, make sure you check out Jess Lucas Y-Teen Park.

Great little park. Has bathroom but they close after dark( sooo in winter months 6pm which is unfortunate).
>Love the rubber paths around the park its excellent for running/jogging or walking.
>It's meaby doable to set up a volleyball net in the middle but it will be tight
>the lighting at night or after sunset is great and they have the LED lights

Nice park, very well-lit after dark. The walking trail is very cushiony doesn't feel like you're walking on gravel.

Nice and roomy, went for the Jazz and seafood festival. No good seafood and my daughters order a cheesesteak that was not a cheesesteak we used too. One tasted like sloppy Joe and the other bbq chicken sandwich. Very disappointed in the food, but loved the venue and music.

Jess Lucas is less park and more village green. It's the home to concerts, art fests, and other gatherings for the city of Hapeville.

It also has a gravel walking path that is about a quarter mile.

The addition of the art gallery made from a shipping container is a nice touch.

The other side leads to a former church used for film screenings and the occasional show or wedding.

There is free parking and there are restrooms. The park is somewhat wheelchair accessible.
