I've noticed that the atmosphere in this store can feel a bit tense at times. It seems like the staff is following the tone set by the management, which can come off as dismissive and impatient. It's understandable that managing a store comes with its pressures, but the customers are here to enjoy their hobby and connect with the community. When we come in, we're looking for a positive experience, not just to make a purchase.

A little more kindness and openness would go a long way in making the store feel more welcoming. As customers, we’re not just here to spend money; we're here because we love the hobby. It would be great if that passion was reciprocated by creating a friendlier and more approachable environment. Everyone would benefit from a more positive vibe, and it could even foster a more loyal and engaged customer base.

Let's make this a place where everyone feels excited to visit, not hesitant to ask questions.

Please consider being a bit kinder. We come in to enjoy the games and the community, not to face unnecessary hostility. Everyone, regardless of their mental or emotional capabilities, deserves to be treated with respect and understanding. As a store, you have a responsibility to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all your customers. There's to many comments with bad experiences for this to be a one of thing. If there are personal challenges making this difficult to grasp, I genuinely hope you find the support you need.

Kitchen Table Games is my favorite game store in the area! Great play area, friendly and knowledgeable staff, great selection of everything. Nice wood tables with big soft chairs. Big upgrade over the classic plastic tables with folding chairs! Prices of product and singles is based off of TCGplayer so I am happy to buy here.

MTG Commander, Yugioh (Both Modern and Edison format), Digimon and other card games are played. Plenty of product available for all of them! Modern Yugioh Thursdays and Saturday, Edison Yugioh Sunday, Digimon Fridays, MTG Commander whenever a pickup game gets going.

The most important part for me is that the atmosphere of Kitchen Table Games is welcoming and comfortable. The vibe is great! People come in to have fun playing cards with other people. Francisco and Tyler are at the counter and do a great job making me feel welcome while doing buys, sales, tournaments and so on. I appreciate the customer service during especially busy times.

You can also pick up some super rare cards! I came in one day and saw a first edition base set shadowless Blastoise. I worked with Tyler for a while and he spent a lot of time with me describing the condition, history of the card, what the cards current and future value is and more. Eventually I was comfortable enough to pick it up and now it is one of the grails of my collection.

Frank was the one who got me back into Modern yugioh after I did not play for a long time. He helped me better understand how the wacky rules of yugioh work and what the meta was like. I started playing in the tournaments and had a great time reconnecting with other yugioh players who share my love of the card game I have been playing for years.

Kitchen Table Games is my home away from home. Super happy this store is here!

Went there to check it out for the first time and unsure if I'll ever come back.

Went there mostly to browse and see what singles they had. Unfortunately rather than binders, they have a single little computer to look up cards for them to make an order with. Sad but whatever.

That would be fine except multiple times it broke to an extent I had to ask for help. Again fine, but for whatever reason the guy at the counter was really cold and standoffish with me specifically. Like I know customers having issues sucks, but it felt very unwelcoming, to the extent I don't really wanna go back. Similarly, before checking out I asked to see the condition before I paid, a reasonable thing I feel, and when I said no thank you, I again got a very cold and kinda rude comment from the guy. I was gonna give the benefit of the doubt, cause I understand sometimes people just have off days, but given other reviews It seems I'm not the only one who's experienced this.

Apparently they run yugioh, even retro formats, which tempts me to go back at some point. But given the experience I don't know if I even wanna bother. Similarly I don't think I'll ever go back looking for singles, as whats the point of going to a real store if I'm just looking at tcgplayer.

Overall, its pretty obvious my business wasn't wanted. So I'll take the hint and just not go back lmfao

Went here with my girlfriend to find some cool pokemon singles. The guy working was super dismissive to us, on the phone half the time. When i asked to see a gengar single that was displayed the guy said “oh wait you cant have that one its for a mobile order”… so why was it on display? lol oh well dont need to go this shop ever again. Selection was mid and service even worse

There are plenty of places to play Magic, Yugioh, and tabletop in Tampa Bay. But over the past 12 months of searching, Kitchen Table Games has been the only shop that I kept coming back to. The friendly atmosphere, the kind employees, and the tasteful decor make this one of the best places to spend your nerdy dollars in the area. And clearly, I'm not the only person who feels this way because they're regularly firing tournaments with 40+ people on weeknights. Folks love this shop so much that they hang out until the shopkeep literally turns out the lights. I've never seen a tighter-knit community around a store in my life, and I have to assume its because of the lovely folks behind the glass counter.

Thanks for being my home away from home.

Drove down to play in the Catan tournament and it was a blast! There was plenty of space and boards for everyone to play and the employees were super friendly and fun people.

They also have a bathroom, which is great and something you don't see in many comic/game type stores.
They do sell snacks and drinks as well if that's something you'd want to take advantage of.

I like the modern set up for TCG but I prefer the old school. I like to see what I'm buying first hand. If I wanted to shop on a computer for your inventory I would have done it from home.
