Great skating rink to visit for fun day with the family or work on your skills. The floor is well kept and the "officials" do a great job of policing the space to ensure a safe environment for everyone. The snack bar has some decent food option as well. The party area is very small and looks like a shared space if multiple parties are occuring. The DJ was good as well, and played some great music.

Pretty chill skating rink. My dad brings my son here on the weekends, I recently tagged along. They could use some renovations. However they are doing a great job with working with what they have! Shout out to the staff, EVERYBODY was interested in assisting customers and the DJ was on point! Thank you team!

Okay. I will start off by saying my experience was overall good. I would like to let anyone know if they decide to schedule a private event, please do not assume anything. Ask all the questions you have. I booked in July and was told about two months before my party, someone would be in touch. I contacted them about six weeks out and was told someone would contact me the week of my party to finalize everything. Of course, I had to call the Thursday before my party. I asked all the questions about food, birthday decor, cost of extra people, etc. I did not ask about the music, which I assumed a DJ would be provided. Luckily, I had a very close friend who was able to DJ at the last minute. Once I let the manager know, I was paying for EVERYTHING and I didn’t want any of my guests to pay, we were set. Some of the miscommunication was my fault, however I do believe the business should tell people up front what is or isn’t included when you are renting a private party. I was allowed to bring my own decor but the rink was so nicely decorated in a Christmas theme I didn’t need to decorate. Overall, my daughter and all her friends had a blast. Their parents had a blast. It turned out well. Keep in mind, I had about one hundred guests and they managed to keep the food and beverages coming. So I want to thank them. And I definitely recommend them for a private party, just COMMUNICATE.

I recently traveled with my family from New York to visit Lanham Skate Center after it was highly recommended by a friend. Unfortunately, our experience was incredibly disappointing.

We were excited to attend the adult night advertised on Instagram, but there was a misunderstanding about the entry rules, and we weren’t allowed in because one member of our group was under 30. While we understood the policy, the way it was handled by the manager, Nia, was completely unacceptable.

From the moment I showed my out-of-state ID, it was clear we were from out of town. Instead of being understanding or at least polite, Nia was extremely rude, nasty, and disrespectful. Her tone was harsh, and she made the entire situation even more embarrassing by yelling at us and telling the next person in line to skip ahead. It was a humiliating experience that left a sour taste in our mouths.

We drove hours to visit Lanham Skate Center and were really looking forward to sharing our love for skating, but the negative and hostile treatment we received completely ruined the experience. I hope the management takes steps to improve how they treat their customers, especially those who make the effort to visit from out of state.

This was probably one of THE BEST floors I have ever skated on. 4 stars only because it felt dangerous to not allow personal water bottles. I offered to pour it out so I could fill it inside but was not allowed to do this. I came to exercise do you want people to pass out? Water bottle was $1.50 inside but you shouldn’t be forced to purchase single use plastic.

Music for a Friday was just okay. There was a DJ and it was mostly mixed beats which was good but unpredictable and at times hard to skate to. Crowd was mostly children which I can understand.

Overall, It was a decent experience. It is a safe place to skate with kids. I will try coming back for an adult night.

It’s been years since I was last on roller skates, 🛼🛼 and I was really excited when my friends and I decided to go to Lanham Skate Center for a different Friday night activity.

The entrance and skate rental fee came up to about $17, which I think is fair. The vibes in the room stayed energetic- as people from various ages showed their talents around the rink. The DJ also kept the energy flowing, playing a range of music from different genres… Hip Hop, GoGo, R’n’B and more.

Overall, I had a great time. The venue itself is a little outdated, as were the rental skates. A revamp could do the venue a lot of good - but overall if we are strictly talking about the rink… It’s kept in good condition.

There are storage lockers ($0.50 per locker) that you can use to store your valuables while you skate, and ample tables and chairs to sit at if you want to take a break from skating.
