Every Bible is different. This place is great. They have different kinds of Bibles for different reasons. All with one story. The one thing that makes this place unique is that the owner/manager clearly knows the ins-and-outs of the Bible publishing industry. The manager took the time to answer all my questions and was very informative about all matters “Bible.” Very friendly people. In an era where people are using digital platforms for almost everything, old fashioned paper printed books are becoming less prevalent. (I read my Kindle app nightly.) Nevertheless, as a matter of practice, having a good high-quality printed Bible in the house makes a clear statement to everyone (especially children) that scripture, like faith, will never need a cord or batteries. Scripture points to the eternal. From out of town? Consider a day in Bastrop. The store is located in the business district and is close to the Starbucks. Bastrop boasts some wonderful dining too. Come and spend the day and see what the town is all about. And buy a beautiful Bible.

Best bookstore in Bastrop, hands down! Unique gifts, too. Friendly staff can order books you might not find on the shelves. Support local businesses--from their own support of local authors and events for the Bastrop community, Living Room deserves it!

Wonderful place for beautiful, thoughtful gifts that friends and family have really appreciated. If you're looking for a book, it's likely here. If by chance it's not, they are more than happy to order it for you. The staff are helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable, without being intrusive. Always a pleasure to shop here, I never leave empty-handed!
