I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Maze Room, and I have to say—it was incredibly innovative! The level of creativity in the challenges and puzzles was impressive, keeping our entire group fully engaged from start to finish.

This was the perfect experience for team-building. It encouraged collaboration, problem-solving, and communication in such a fun and dynamic way. Our group bonded like never before, and it was amazing to see everyone’s unique strengths come into play.

If you’re looking for a memorable experience that brings friends or colleagues closer together, I highly recommend the Maze Room. It’s not just an escape room—it’s a chance to connect, think outside the box, and have a blast while doing it!

We played Ghost Hunters and Avalanche and had such a wonderful time. The rooms are great, especially Avalanche, and it was refreshing being able to play such unique rooms with such great theming and set design. The puzzles were cool and Avalanche in particular had an incredibly unique and well executed story. Alida ran both our games and she’s just the best. Super helpful and funny, she made the experience truly great. Will definitely be coming back to play Sherlock, Area 51 and the new one when it’s open. Thanks again Alida!!

We booked 2 of their rooms and was able to squeeze in a 3rd thanks to our remarkable host, Andrew. I believe he was a lone wolf that night and he was a rockstar at multitasking. The place was easy to find but it may be a bit tricky with the windows boarded up with posters. Street parking could be a bit tricky too. Sunday evening parking was easy. We did Avalanche first, then Area 51, then ended the night with Sherlock & the Beautiful Mind. They were all amazing and each had their own standout moments. There are some pretty neat things they had us doing. Some I've never done before. You won't find any locks and keys since these rooms are Gen3. All puzzles were straight forward and worked well in the story. They weren't just puzzles in a room. The set design was top notch! You won't see office ceilings here! This Maze Room location is the best one, don't miss out

Showed up 30 minutes early, was greeted and asked for our name. We were told to put our things in locker, use restroom and have a seat. Over 30 minutes pass before the game master, Kudzai, tells us we are in the wrong location. We went to the Roberson location and we booked for the Highland location. We would have had time if we were told initially upon arrival but instead, we lost travel time to correct our error because we were not told. Reading reviews, this is not the first time this has happened. Hopefully you will fix your check in process at your locations because you have to fight tooth and nail for compensation. Don’t expect a refund.

I was in Koreatown finishing up a birthday dinner when I spontaneously decided to try out a maze room. I found one nearby within a 5-minute walk and quickly booked a room on their website, linked from their Google page, with availability in just 10 minutes. Everything was done very quickly, and I arrived at the location on time, excited to begin.

However, when I arrived, I was told I was at the wrong location. I hadn’t realized there were multiple locations because all the bookings were laid out on one page and I had used the website linked to their google Vermont page. This is an issue that could be easily fixed by having separate sections for each location. Even if I had known about the different locations, this layout creates unnecessary confusion and leaves room for mistakes.

I asked if the credits could be transferred to the location I was at, as I didn’t think it would be a big issue since it’s the same company. The man at the Vermont location was very nice and more than willing to help, but he informed me that the Beverly Hills location wouldn't allow the transfer. They insisted I would have to go there. Keep in mind, it was already 8 PM, and I had booked this because I was 5 minutes away, not because I wanted to drive across town to Beverly Hills.

He suggested I call the Beverly Hills location, so I did. The woman who answered had a snippy attitude from the start. I figured I could reason with her and explain it was all a misunderstanding. However, there was no flexibility—she kept repeating, "It's policy, it's policy. You agreed to the terms." Just because something is policy doesn’t make it right.

I would have been understanding if my booking caused them to lose business, but in this case, my reservation had no impact on them whatsoever. I emailed customer service and received no reply, so I emailed again. They eventually offered credit, but only for the Beverly Hills location. I then asked if I could at least transfer the credit to the Koreatown location, which I had been trying to go to all along. They stopped responding entirely after that.

As a business owner myself, I understand policies and the frustration when customers don’t fully read or follow them. But I also understand that things happen, and it’s important to act accordingly even with policies in place. Maze Room's insistence on keeping my money without providing any service, when it didn’t affect them in the slightest, is a practice I simply don’t respect.

In the end, I disputed the charge and got my money back, despite all their pushback. But this experience left me with a bad impression of how they handle customer service, and I can’t recommend a business that chooses rigid policies over doing what’s fair.

Me and my wife have done a number of maze rooms in North Carolina, Nevada and California. We decided to book Avalanche Escape Room at The Maze Rooms in LA and this by far our most immersive experience. I enjoyed all of the rooms within the Avalanche themed room. There are 5 rooms and the difficulty was moderate. It wasn't too difficult nor was it too easy. I appreciate the game master giving us extra minutes to complete the final puzzle. 10/10 experience. My favorite part is the way we communicated with the game master for hints. It was via walkie talkie and that's much better than other escape rooms which use the "God mic/ intercom". We will definitely come back to try the other rooms... Tomorrow ?

Had an amazing time doing the Ghost Hunter room! Design and set was awesome, very immersive. We got to beta test a new room as well and I can’t wait for it to be open to the public! Probably the most immersive, interactive rooms I’ve ever done ( I’ve done almost 60+ now! ) . Thank you Kudzai for the hints and songs!
