Mediacom always had good reliable service for me, it was the yearly price hikes. Went from 60 a month to 163.00 a month in two years. Just signed up with surf for 4x the speed at only 100 a month.

I had to get a new router because the old one I had finally quit working. I turned in the old one and they gave me an updated router. Before the old one quit working my phone would hold internet for almost 2 blocks. The new one buffers 15 feet from my TV. After turning off my service they charged me for a full month that I didn't use. Damn crooks anyway.

Mediacom Detached our personal accounted internet line after we discovered they had been defrauding our business account since 2019. retaliatory, abusive.

Mediacom stole personal property and will not return it.I talked to several supervisors and they said they would take care of it. The issue of theft has not been resolved as of now

If you like your internet going out every other month I recommend using this service! I called, they can't get a tech out until 2 to 5 days later! They keep telling me it's my equipment went out and bought five hundred dollars worth of equipment and they still say it could be our equipment. Multiple pieces of equipment but the common denominator is the service. Very difficult to maintain schooling online and working online when your service provider can't provide.

Went online to schedule a service connection, and was dealt the typical “8am - 12pm” window. Do I have four hours to spare in the middle of renovating our home to sell it? Not really. But whatever - that’s pretty standard time with any ISP.

Missed a call from a “toll-free number” around 11. Didn’t think anything of it because spam calls have been THROUGH THE ROOF. At 12:13, I called Mediacom to check on ETA, and they said that the tech put our service order ON HOLD because I missed his call.

Did they call back? No. Text? Nope. Email? Nada.

Evidently, scheduling an installation appointment isn’t enough. You must also take the pseudo-spam phone call - minutes before your appointment - otherwise they’ll take you off the install list.

So when I called at 12:13 to see what’s up, they told me this, then said they can get us in before 5 pm today.

Then, I receive another mysterious “toll-free call”, so I pick up, thinking it’s the tech calling to quadruple confirm our appointment today.

Wrong again. It was dispatch calling to tell me we’d need to reschedule because the 3rd-party contractor they use to complete installs has “clocked out” for the day.

Now, in my good fortune, I get to spend another half-day waiting for the install.

Dealing with the joke that is Mediacom Monopoly is guaranteed to be a total waste of time. The only reason we signed up for their service is because HUGHES NET is the alternative. I’m sure they’ll respond with some type of “We StRiVe FoR eXcElLeNt CuStOmEr SeRvIcE” bs like all the other bot review responses from Mediacom seem to be, but I had them as ISP in 2010/2011, and NOTHING has changed.

Do not get Mediacom unless you want them to hike up your bill amount after 1 year with them. Customer Service is extremely rude or at least the guy my fiancé talked to was very rude. Wouldn’t answer me when we asked why our bill said we pay for “bundled services” even though we only paid for internet. Started Mediacom service on internet 400 and somehow went up to internet 600 without our permission. Total scumbags.
