Incredible museum reliving one of the greatest stories in basketball history in which tiny Milan won against the odds in a historic upset for the Indiana state high school basketball championship! There is also memorabilia from the Hoosiers movie which used the Milan 54 championship for its basis. One of the coolest sports museums we've ever visited!

Awesome little museum.
If you love sports, and like the "David and Goliath" game type, this is the place.
The real story is better than the movie Hoosiers portrays.
Also the success story after high school that the players had accomplished is also neat .

An absolutely amazing experience. So much history inside this Museum. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable as well. Admission is only $5.00 and is completely worth it.

If your interested in some awesome Indiana high school basketball history you’ll love this visit to Milan 54 Museum. It was pretty cool, it had some of the TV set props from the move Hoosiers. Milan the smallest high school beats a giant to win the Indiana Basketball State Championship.

Who doesn’t love the Milan miracle story?! Growing up in Milan, we sometimes grew bored of our claim to fame, but as an adult who travels the country, it’s the best story to talk about with others. Everyone has heard of the movie Hoosiers and, in turn, the story of Milan. The very story I grew up rolling my eyes at has connected me to the world so many times.

The Milan 54 Museum does a wonderful job of showcasing the memories of this small town’s claim to fame. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a rich history that takes you back to the 1954 state championship. A wonderful small town museum highlighting an incredible moment in Indiana basketball history. Filled with tributes to individual players, the high school, town and the movie. Amazing setting as well, displayed in a former bank building in downtown that still has the original safe facade. Just a great sense of nostalgia the minute you walk through the door!

Really cool local museum highlighting the underdog Milan basketball team winning the State Championship in 1954. Well worth a "history museum" stop even if you're not a basketball fan. Handicap accessible and you'll need about an hour. Go have fun with this place!

映画になった高校バスケットの舞台の街の小さな博物館。日本での映画の題は「勝利への旅立ち」　平日に訪ねて見ました。なんと休館日。近所のお店の人がどこから来たのかと声をかけてくれました。オハイオからっていうとビックリして博物館の人に電話してくれて急遽開館してくれました。お礼にショップでいっぱい買い物してきました。当時のユニフォームなど展示が楽しかった。
