Moose Pass Adventures

The two night glamping & kayaking stay was incredible! After kayaking and hiking in, our group of 8 people setup up in two yurts for two nights. The amenities were just enough for a camping trip, making it the perfect “glamping” experience. The yurts were super comfortable! We had a nice dinner along with a nice campfire and were able to drink filtered water right from the lake. So cool! Kayaking Grant Lake was so fun too. We saw waterfalls, stuck our faces in glacial water, found caves and saw old abandoned mining cabins. We picked wild strawberries, blueberries, crowberries and watermelon berries the whole way … it was amazing. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone that wants to fully experience this area. Grant Lake simply cannot be fully enjoyed without at at least two nights to do it. I wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Amazing stay at The Nellie yurt on beautiful Grant Lake. The yurt is cozy with four comfortable beds, a wood burning stove, and a sturdy table for games and cards. Kayaks and gear provided made for some epic adventures out on the gorgeous turquoise water viewing wildlife, waterfalls, and the emerging fall colors. The camp kitchen, fire pit, and even bathroom were so nice. Thank you so much to Moose Pass Adventures for such a unique experience.

Our experience with Moose Pass Adventures was amazing. We kayaked the beautiful glacier lake, explored along the coast surrounded by mountains, and even got engaged on a secluded island! The owners JD and Jen were super nice and knowledgeable about the lake, land, and wildlife. Safety gear was provided and emergency plan was discussed in case we see a bear, moose, etc. We always felt safe and well equipped. Jen and JD were awesome. Great people providing amazing experiences for people. We will definitely be back! :)

Five stars all the way! Jen was an amazing guide and historian. The views and two lakes were gorgeous, especially Grant Lake. I would highly recommend this adventure to experience a taste of Alaska backcountry.

My family and I went kayaking with Moose Pass Adventures last June and it was amazing. They were so kind and it was a lot of fun even during the rain. They took us to an island and we saw the train passing by and waved at them. They gave us extra gear to borrow and provided tea too. We also stayed in their air bnb which was also amazing. This is a great company owned by a local family please book with them! :)

Jen was so amazing!! We had a great time and she made the trip very easy for people who aren’t frequently hiking or kayaking. We learned a lot from Jen about the town and its history. The lakes, forest and views were amazing! Would definitely recommend

One of the most epic kayak and hike adventures I've ever done. Jen and JD were so knowledgeable about the area and gave us some great exploring ideas for kayaking around Grant Lake. We got lucky with some nice weather which gave stunning views and even a few swimming opportunities! An ideal trip for those who want a 1 -2 day backroad adventure without having to get too far off the main hwy.

Highly recommend! Was a wonderful little adventure even though we had some light rain. We bought some light rain jackets when we landed, but they also provide us some over pants to wear which was very much appreciated. Jen, our guide was very kind, helpful, and a source of wonderful information about the area. Was a bit of a light workout, but perfect for our group. We love every minute!
