AMAZING experience! My family lives here and we always rent boats in Haleiwa. We took a group of friends out for a sunset cruise and had the most incredible time. The captains Porter and Chad were very knowledgeable and a fun time. Thank you North Shore Sailing Adventures for a memorable time.

If I could give North Shore Sailing Adventures a 10/10, I would! Our time on the boat with Captain Will and Chad was definitely a highlight of our trip to Oahu - it was AMAZING! Both Will and Chad were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They clearly love what they do, as their energy and passion for sailing and Oahu was felt throughout our 4 hr sail.
Even though we didn’t get the opportunity to sail with Captain Porter, he was at the boat when we arrived to introduce himself and his crew. He spent some time talking with us and making sure we were set before we headed out, which was greatly appreciated.
Leading up to our booking, I had some questions about the sail. Captain Porter responded to my email very quickly and I then received a follow up phone call from Anastasia in the office, who was incredibly helpful and professional.
All in all, I cannot say enough positive things about NSSA, great people, unforgettable experience that my family and I will not soon forget! Thank you!!

Me and my family decided to do a last min whale watching excursion as we read it is a great experience for those visiting Hawaii. Since we were visiting North shore for just the day, I was disappointed to know that all bookings happen in advance and it's best to book excursions ahead of time. I still decided to try my luck and landed up contacting North Shore Sailing Adventures and left a vm fully expecting to not receive a positive response. But to my surprise I received a call from a very pleasant lady Annastacia stating that we could sail the same afternoon as they had an opening. The entire booking process was easy with clear instructions on how to get to the pier.

As we arrived at the pier at 3 pm, little did we know that this private sail would be the highlight of our trip. The kids were beyond happy to set sail and the entire team at NSSA was warm n welcoming. Captain Porter was very knowledgeable about whales and he patiently taught our kids on how to look out for whales, made them hear whale sounds and answered every question they had about whales. We spotted many whales on our 3+ hour sail and the icing on the cake was the amazing whale sightings we saw towards sunset.. Captain Porter n his crew spotted them and we were at the right place at the right time.. it almost felt like the whales had put on a show just for us, with them jumping out of water several times and doing flips. The whales truly seemed to have enjoyed our attention and the kids were beyond thrilled with everything they experienced.

I HIGHLY recommed sailing with NSSA as Captain Porter and his crew ensure you have a great time. It surely was non-commercial and felt like a more personal experience for us that our entire family will never forget.

Can't recommend the sunset sail enough! Porter and Chad were such great hosts and did everything they could to show us the wildlife and a good time. They are both so friendly, engaging, and very knowledgeable! Maximum of 6 guests on the boat at a time so it's a much more intimate experience - so worth the extra $ compared to being packed onto a boat with 30+ other people.

This was the most amazing experience of my trip! Captain Porter and Captan Will are so good with people and took us seeing whales, turtles, and sharks! Not to mention, Captain Porter is a marine biologist and shares so many interesting facts about the whales. We dropped an hydrophone into the ocean and we could eve listen to whales! Really emotional, worth every penny. If you're considering taking a tour, you should absolutely do it.

Chartered a private sail for the day with Porter and Chad. They were incredible hosts and made me feel so welcomed and connected. Felt more inspired and relaxed after spending time with them out on the ocean and enjoyed learning about sailing and how special of an experience it really is. We saw some sharks, flying fish, barracudas, spinner and bottle nose dolphins. Porter knows his birds well too so I got to learn about and see a few different ones while we were sailing. Booking the trip was so easy online and I got quick follow up after my booking. Loved hearing their vision of what they are creating and how they want to serve their guests and I can’t wait to be back again to experience more of it.

Sailing with Captain Porter and his crew was one of the most memorable experiences in my life. The intimate setting was exactly what my friend and I wanted from a sailing experience. Their Trimeran KEET, was the perfect way to spend our first sunset on the North Shore. Captain Porter can best be described as a walking encyclopedia, something inquiring minds will appreciate. This is something he does for the love of it and boy does it show!! He specializes in smaller charters of around six passengers, ideal for a post-covid economy. On our sunset cruise, we were lucky enough to follow a mama and small calf around the bay! My first experience seeing whales in the wild and it was beautiful. Hope to return some day and sail again with Captain Porter and his crew.

Excellent Sailing on a beautiful Sail Boat! Captain Porter and Will were gracious and professional! We sailed for six hours, saw and swam with dolphins, snorkeled with fish and Sea turtles. We came home with beautiful memories, with our three children. Our kids cannot wait to go back and do the same sailing adventure with Captain Porter!
