I like this place alot that's all I can say I spend a lot of time there it's peaceful most the time and the forest rangers a cool too just be out before sunset and have a fishing license on hand cuz the ticket isn't worth the fifty bucks and ten minutes it takes to get one

Been going here all my life.. it's gone downhill slowly it's sad. It's ok for a quick local get outa the day. There only 1 spot left to fish, gets crowded on weekends also shady activity goes on. Just like the rest of California it's getting trashed..sad but I still go occasionally to get out.

This is a beautiful place but one of the problems that I have encountered I'm sure many people have but have not had the guts to say anything but I will say it is that there's lots of homeless encampments being built along the river! I understand that the homeless don't have anywhere to go families go there to take their kids on a walk but do not go to a certain spot because it has a full encampment that has been there for months and all they can do is turn around

Awesome place. I’m new to this area so this was my first time going camping out there. Neighbors to the left and right were very respectful and nice. Everyone picked up after them selves and had a great time. If you’re planning on camping in a good spot I would suggest going out and getting it by Wednesday because people are coming in to get the good spots. Unless you have reservations

The area use to be one of the better spots on the river to fish.
Lots of access points.
The river bank is so grown over with under brush now that access is very limited.
The Road was pretty beat up, full of huge pot holes, but they did finally come out with some dirt and gravel and level the road.

There’s no direction or I didn’t see them on how to get to the point where you can get in the water and the area where I was ,was ugly
