I had a really great stay at the pacific view inn. It was walking to distance to the ocean and to food places. The staff were amazing and super sweet. They were able to accommodate and check me in early due to my flight arriving extra early. The room was super clean and spacious. I wish I knew the names of the front desk ladies but I appreciate their kindness with every interaction. I would definitely stay here again.

We love the Catamaran, but not for the price. The Beach Cottages are charming, but not nearly as incredible as this hotel — and their staff. A HUGE thanks to Jose. Our sray has been beyond perfect, and we are so sad to leave to head to Carlsbad. From the fire pit last night to the board games to the incredible location, and again the most perfect staff in the world and perfectly renovated + the coffee maker. Everything you can imagine needing, like a perfect be, this hotel delivers. Don’t even think about anywhere else.

We stayed 3 days and had a lovely time though the front desk ladies were typically a little clueless about amenities. The rooms have been remodeled but there were some interesting decisions made during the remodel; night stand only on one side of the bed, no full length mirror were 2 minor and who thinks barn doors on bathrooms are a good idea. The room also stayed relatively humid all night even with the AC set low and on dehumidifier mode. Don't expect an ice machine on site or wifi that is worth a damn.

Overall though we did enjoy the place and for 2 people it was an affordable place to stay right on the beach just don't expect more than a basic room and board.

This is more like a motel than a hotel, but I thought it was a very nice, no frills place in a great location. It sits at the end of a street that dead ends at the ocean bluffs. I paid extra for one of the two rooms that have unobstructed ocean views on the second floor and I thought it was worth it. I could sit in bed and watch the surfers.||The room was spotlessly clean when I checked in. The bedroom floor is vinyl and the bathroom is all tiled. I travel a lot for work and generally stay in upscale hotels, but let’s face it, hotel carpets are gross. I appreciated the approach taken here—just the basics: clean, tidy accommodations.||Staff were very friendly and helpful. I’d definitely come back.

Loved this small hotel! Perfect location. Once we parked we never needed to move our car. We did go out to a nice dinner in La Jolla but just called for a Lyft since parking can be tricky in this area. The staff were extremely friendly and we had a partial view of the ocean. The only drawbacks for some would be parking - can be difficult depending on when you’re arriving, and I had to go to a cafe to get Internet on my computer. But neither deterred the fabulous stay we had! My girls especially loved that they have various beach equipment available to be borrowed while staying here! Huge plus!!

From the staff at the front desk to the team that took care of the rooms absolutely outstanding. If you like quality for the price and a fantastic location (restaurants, beach, boardwalk) this is the place. Highly recommend!

Old school motel built in 1951 that’s been completely updated we loved it takes you back. Room was nice and clean and basic. We stayed on street level it could be noisy if there was a lot of traffic but it was tolerable and wouldn’t make me not choose this place. Walk to the beach is literally 30 seconds away. And one block from all shopping and restaurants. And staff was great. Dr

The location on Pacific Beach and Mission Blvd. is great! You can walk along the boardwalk while enjoying the ocean view. Public transportation to Old Town, then connecting to Seaport Village, Balboa Park (zoo) and downtown is really easy and inexpensive. LOTS of nearby restaurants, CVS and grocery store, all within a few minutes walking distance. Hotel is 2 stories, and there's no elevator. Our first room on the 2nd floor had an amazing ocean view, but was very compact. We kept banging our shins on one of the platform beds when trying to maneuver to the bathroom. Bathroom was very tiny and, overall, the space was congested. We switched to a 1st floor room that was MUCH bigger, but did not have any ocean view. The rooms have a mini fridge but no microwave, though there is one in the lobby. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom. There's no complimentary bottled water and no ice available. We had a little trouble with the room temp., but maintenance cleaned our filter the next day and that seemed to fix the problem. The staff is eager to please, though "housekeeping" only changes your towels and empties the trash, even on multi-day stays. The lobby has lots of amenities, including beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, beach toys, board games, and items for purchase (i.e. bottled water, Tylenol). The rooms are very clean, have large screen tvs and in-room safes. Overall, pleased with our stay and recommend for beach/sightseeing stay.
