It is not often that you get a chance to visit a real old fashion grist mill, one that is not a reproduction. This is the 'real McCoy' if you will.

The waterfall out back is relaxing, and the sound invites one to close their eyes for a quick nap.

Check out the old school house and the trails that abound in the park. There is something here for everyone.

Plenty of parking was available the day we went. Bring a picnic lunch and make a day of it. We certainly enjoy the staff that was on hand to answer our questions about the trails.

Super cute mill and waterfall! The entire area was beautiful. There was only one other small group of people when we went on a weekend afternoon. Such a nice short stop to stretch your legs or cool down from a long day of hiking with a short easy walk from the parking lot. There are a few different places you can climb down to for pictures that are fairly easy, just be careful and respectful of the environment.

This is a wonderfully preserved old mill that still has many of it's original tools and features on display. We've been to several old mills, but none with as much of the mill processing tools still intact.

Additionally there was an engagement area where kids and adults alike could process the corn using old tools which was really neat to do in the setting of the old mill!

If you're an animal lover, there are also a couple of windows with shudders closed that are home to little brown bats. One of the windows downstairs you can walk right by and see the bats through the glass. A highlight of the trip!

The scenery around the mill is also very nice with an old bridge across the creek and a nice walking path to the mill.

Wonderful historical Mill adjacent to Wildcat Den State Park. The area has plenty of parking and highlights the mill, an historical bridge, and a dam. Also, it allows easy access to a trail taking you to the Wildcat Den with a 1.5 mile walk through the forest. Nice camping area, and public restrooms. Highly recommend.

A great stop to learn about the inner workings of a Grist Mill!
We have been to many around the country but never got to go inside.
This is a working Mill!
Such a fun experience for adults and kids alike!
Definitely worth the detour!
Plenty of great photo ops too!

A really cool place! You can go inside and your the mill, as well as a nearby old schoolhouse. One the day we visited the millpond was full of people swimming.
