My children and I walked those trails so many times, always finding tiny creatures and surprises around. These trails are some of my favorite. They offer so much beauty year round, if you know where to look. Keep in mind there isn't much shade or any paved paths. The terrain is flat but can be bumpy and some trails are closed for eagle nesting season.

It’s a pleasant walkabout, but it’s not full of amazing views or adventures by any means. I think it has a lot of potential, but it’s left so completely wild (which is not a bad thing at all and i’m not trying to say it is) and Pine Island just doesn’t seem to have much of anything so the mix of the two just doesn’t make for a real fun time. There actually are a lot of bald eagles in the area I guess, but while we went (January 2021), half of the trails were blocked off for nesting season. We did manage to see one eagle, though, which was very cool. That was about all we saw for animals so I was hoping for maybe more, but really just don’t expect too much if you stop here.

Seen eagles!!! Even having a trail down due to mating season for them. What a treat. Good spot for a quick hike. Very quiet even right off the road.

Kind of a boring place. It was difficult to walk through the sugar sand but we did see some wildlife. We began walking only to find part of the trail closed due to eagle nesting. We continued on an unmarked path that just led us around the perimeter.

What a great park. Plenty of dry walkable trails. Some on asphalt and remainder on wood chips, and wooden walkways over water areas. We were lucky enough to see a turtle, many birds. Most exciting, several bald eagles. Really nice place with more than enough parking even for motor homes.

Pleasant walk where you might see wildlife like tortoises and various birds. However, keep in mind this isn't a Disney ride and wildlife sighting are not guaranteed....just enjoy your walk and the solitude.
