A very serene, calm and clean natural pool with easy access and even small fishes inside. Waves overflow over the rocks which separate it from the sea, refreshing its water. There is no beach, just a flat clean surface, so putting down a towel so it is not too hard to lay on is optimal, with the benefit of no sand getting everywhere. From this flat surface there is also a great access to the open sea, from which you can jump into the water or climb down using a ladder. Literally 10 meters from this is an authentic little seafront café which serves great food and drinks. 50 meters from here is a beautiful colorful building with tons of flowers, I'm sure you'll see it. All in all, it is a really compact full package. You can park a car right beside it and not worry about anything.

Lovely town with multiple natural wading pools that fill twice a day when the tide is high.
Scenic area walking distance to Arrieta. Bring goggles, masks, water shoes and/or flippers/fins. Nice to snorkel in the ocean. Lots to see.

You will see crabs and fish in the wading pools. Water was not too cold when I was there (Feb).

the building with the lovely pots hanging, the boat with flowers and the decorations on the wall are probably the reason why this is popular. There were a few people in the little alcove, which was quite rocky. We didn't spend much time here but it looked like a lovely quiet local place to hang out in.

Fun and at times surprising little tour. Can get claustrophobic (low ceilings, narrow passageways, steep staircases, smooth slippery routes) would not recommend for elderly requiring aide and for small children - saw quite a few from both groups struggling. Tour takes 45min of constant walking. Paid 15 euros.

I was ready for a swim but the water was only 30cm deep. Wrong timing? Should I wait for high tide to be over?

Absolutely beautiful natural phenomenon of a pool created by tidal wave, surrounded by lava rocks and black sand beach. There are a few lovely restaurants to eat and drink, areas to sit and picnic or walk by the seaside. Ideal for everyone, including children as there are small pots of water.

One main pool with space for sunbathing and number of wild pools accessible by the steps with hand rails. At the top of pools you can find promenade with benches, palms, sea view and beautiful Casa Carmelina. There is also a bar open from 7am (at least) till 5pm serving breakfast, lunch, coffee, beer, wineand toilets. You can enjoy this place whole day in sun with all what you need.
