This river trip was exactly what we needed for a chill day on the water. The current was super calm, making it easy to just float along and take in the beautiful scenery around us. It was a great way to relax and enjoy some downtime, whether we were chatting or just soaking up the peaceful vibes. Perfect for anyone wanting to unwind and enjoy nature without any hassle.
Notes: During High Water Days, definitely opt for the paddles . It’s worth it.
The staff was very friendly and helpful too, we drove an hour from Indiana and was well worth the trip.

Spent the day floating down the river, taking in the sun, and having some laughs. It was a great day on a pretty nice river. The people at Plainfield tubing were friendly and helpful. The location was also very easy to find. I highly recommend a day of tubing with these guys this summer!

A large group of friends and I tried Plainfield River tubing on 7/10 and we cannot wait to go again!! The booking process was super easy and there were a lot of different time slots and add-ons available. We booked for 10:30 a.m., which was perfect since it started to get hot throughout the morning and afternoon. I received multiple email updates with reminders of what to bring, where to go, etc. We arrived at the meeting location with no problem thanks to the helpful instructions in the emails. The check in process was super easy and we were on our way in the shuttle. One of the owners (her name is escaping me) was SUPER friendly and gave us some great recommendations to grab lunch afterwards. Two of the places even offered discounts with your wristband.

Our float took about two hours and it was so fun and relaxing. The crew that got us going let us know there’s a spot where you can take a break called “seashell island”. I think we had just as much fun there as we did on the float. We were able to take a water/snack break, hunt for fun seashells and of course, take 500 photos. The river was super clean and refreshing as it started to get hot in the afternoon. We came across other floaters and people who were kayaking.

When we finished our float, the young men helped everyone get out safely and helped with all of our bags. Of course, we had to check out one of the owner’s recommendations, Station One Smokehouse, for lunch and it was so good! We were able to leave our cars in the check in lot and walk right over.

I would highly recommend this company for your river floating adventure! They were SO organized and friendly and made us feel so comfortable, especially since it was the first time doing this for most of us.

There are a few things I would recommend if you do this: Wear something you’re ok getting wet in, you will get wet!; Make sure to wear water shoes or shoes with straps. When we got out at the island, there were shells (obviously) and rocks, so having the right shoes on was key.; If you bring the cooler, get the cooler raft. Worth the add on cost.; Get at least one paddle too. This really helped us if we needed to push away for the edge.; Bring a cooler with water, beverages, snacks, etc. We were all tied together, so that made it super easy to share, snack and drink along the way.

So much fun! 10 out of 10 highly recommend! We had a group of 13 ladies all tied together with a few cooler rafts as well. They were extremely kind and thorough the whole time. They drive you to the drop off where they load and unload your coolers then let you choose netted or non netted tubes. They kindly tie you up and help you get on. They have someone come with a few extra tubes to check and make sure no one’s having issues then also have someone on a raft at the half way point to to let you know you are gettin half way. There’s a fun stop called shell beach where we found some huge cool shells. They are not strict at all with really anything. They give you lots of great recommendations and there are local places that even give you a discount for going there. All of the staff were just so kind. I am already planning my next outing!

We had the best experience! The staff was very polite, professional & outgoing. We went with the mesh bottom floats, worked out great! The river was perfect. The staff checked in twice with us on kayaks to guide us to a resting area called shell island, conditions of the river and let us know how much longer we had about with the flow of the river. Our group was large, they made it work for us. We will be back! The staff gave us recommendations for what to do after too, was nice to have an idea of what was good in the area as well!

We went this weekend for a 9:30 spot. The directions and rules were clearly explained to us. River was clean. Everyone in our group wants to do it again! Staff is organized and friendly. We swam, we had snacks, we laughed, great experience overall.

This was such an amazing experience! Great idea for a date, birthday celebration, friends outing, family bonding, etc. The staff was so welcoming, friendly and informative - great spirits! If you are a 1st timer like me...fret not! The water wasn't bad. I would definitely recommend renting the paddle! They offer the tubes w/ and w/o bottoms and have already roped the tubes for easy hooking and unhooking. There is free parking at Electric Park. Bring snacks and music. Ride time varies, depending on the wind; but I promise you will enjoy! I definitely recommend this!

My friends and I go on at least one float trip every summer and always have the best time! Their staff is the best, the floats are comfortable and high quality, and they make the experience so easy and enjoyable! I can’t recommend this business enough!
