I have previously utilized the services of Polk Air, thus it is with great disappointment that I find myself compelled to leave a negative review. Upon purchasing a new home that had undergone deferred maintenance, I determined that the installation of a new air conditioning unit was necessary. Prior to the installation, I emphasized the critical importance of both the air return and the vents to ensure that my wife & children would not be exposed to poor air quality.

The technician visited the property on three separate occasions, during which we discussed my requirements in detail. However, following the installation of the air conditioning unit, a crucial aspect of the job was unfortunately neglected. Specifically, the return vent was left filled with debris and refuse, presumably from rodents. It was only after conducting my own inspection, post-installation and after an expenditure of $10,000, that I discovered the return vent had not been vacuumed or cleaned as requested.

It is counterproductive to install a new air conditioning system while allowing pollutants from a contaminated air return to circulate throughout the home. This job was executed inadequately, reflecting a lack of care and consideration for the client's needs. It appears that their primary motive was to secure a quick profit rather than to provide quality service. Consequently, I cannot recommend Polk Air, nor will I engage their services in the future.

Michael was a very professional technician, but I’m disappointed that when he changed the blower motor, he didn’t remove the small amount of dirt and leaves at the bottom. It wasn’t a big job because I kept the machine neat, but it would have represented the quality of service from the company.

Polk Air was fantastic to work with. they were able to get the permits and get all 3 units installed in time for rough inspections. Both the office personnel and the install personnel were great to deal with. As an engineer, I had a lot of questions and they were alway willing to come up with the answers. Ordered the optional lineset covers and they really add a great finishing touch to the job.

Cannot wait to get the rest of in-law apartment complete so we can power up these units!!

Our last AC company came out to do annual maintenance and said we were all good after spending like 30 mins here. We still had funky smells and they wouldn't come back. Called Polk and they quickly discovered a mess that the last guys didn't want to deal with. Very honest, thorough and did a great job.

Jean was my technician, he called when he was 20 minutes out, arrived when expected, was very professional and knowledgeable. Excellent customer service! I called Polk Air Conditioning (R&R Heating and Cooling) to have a routine maintenance appointment based on a recommendation from my neighbor. The pricing was as expected with the only additional charge of a replacement part - which Jean and I discussed before I accepted the replacement and the extra cost. Him being open about that and offering me options, made me feel confident moving forward with the new part…again, he was very professional! I am going to sign up for their bi-annual maintenance appointments, to keep up with this Florida heat! I highly recommend them to those living in Polk County!

Even when faced with a larger issue that is very costly (not because of the company but because of the actual cost of the part), I am grateful to have this company on my side. I give them an A+ all the time!! They have wonderful technicians, a lovely rep answering the phones and making appointments, and great availability for service and maintenance!
