This stay was everything I hoped it would be. Romantic, cozy, incredible views, unique artwork and personal touches everywhere… we had the loveliest time gathering our families here. Ashley and the entire staff were accommodating the entire time and immediately available for any questions we had. The cabins were clean and comfortable and we even got a few small gifts to celebrate our time in Alaska. We cannot wait to come back!

What an incredible stay we had at Salted Roots. My now husband and I did the property buyout for our small wedding and all of our friends and families' expectations were blown out of the water! The beds were so comfy, the views were incredible, and the Salted Roots team was extremely kind and accommodating. We loved making french press coffee in the morning, the fire pit at night, and all of the small details included in each cabin. We truly had the best three days on the property and already can't wait to come back. Thank you for creating such a relaxing, beautiful space to celebrate love and friendship.

The cottage was phenomenal! It had everything we needed, plus some local hot sauce and herbal tea! The location, across from the ocean, (which made for lovely evenings and mornings in the designated area with Adirondack chairs) was so cool to view the mountains!. We utilized the sauna, which was fantastic after a day of hiking in the rain. We also utilized the yoga room for a quick 30 minute family stretch one day. Kellyann and the crew were super helpful and available for any questions.

We had such a great stay!! The communication leading up to the stay was excellent. It's far from the cruise ships which we wanted. Upon arrival we could tell there was a lot of thought put into amenities and making sure we felt taken care of and cozy 🙂 We especially loved the great coffee in the morning, the bed was great, pellet stove worked really well, and the bathroom was gorgeous- not only all that but everything was so practical! We appreciated how eco-conscious and thoroughly clean everything was. The local art and ceramics were an added bonus. Thank you so much for all the thought and care you all gave to helping our trip be so lovely and memorable! We hope to return someday 🙂

I am rarely impressed with customer service and accommodations, but Salted Roots has the perfect combination of both. My family and I had to find last minute accommodations in Seward due to world wide airline snafu. I could not have been happier with the bohemian decor perfection suite offered, and customer service was fast, efficient, and friendly. We loved our one night stay so much, I tried to cancel our previously arranged reservations somewhere else. The owners of Salted | Rustic Roots have created an approachable and elevated Alaskan nirvana on Lowell Point.

Location, location, location! We stayed in the yellow door (converted bus), we have a 5-year-old, and this was a huge hit for both him and us! Well, done. 🙂 Location - being so close to downtown, the Sealife Center, Exit Glacier, grocery store, etc. was so convenient. Not to mention out the kitchen sink window is the dreamiest forest view, and the cabin is located right across the street from the beach where numerous cruise ships and commercial fishing boats can be viewed in addition to all it’s natural beauty. There’s also free parking right out your front door, a picnic table and deck, a firepit and sauna. The beds, pillows and linens were all so comfy! Everything we needed was provided and more! It was an experience we will never forget!

While I haven't had the opportunity to stay at the Salted Roots Cabins myself (yet), I have had the opportunity to visit and experience it several times while photographing wedding and elopement days and am OBSESSED!

The property is so pretty, nestled into the beautiful lush forest and right across the road from the beach. The cabins all have lovely lighting for getting ready, lots of nice spots for photos in and around them as well!

If you're looking for a peaceful and beautiful place to stay during your Seward trip, whether for a special event, or just stay/vacationing, I highly recommend Salted Roots!

We did not actually stay here as when we arrived it became apparent that a previous guest smoked in the property and there was significant smell of cigarettes. Ashley was absolutely brilliant and found us a lovely property nearby. She even refunded the difference in cost and then gave us some extra as compensation. She is an amazing host. By the way the property is very nice and the views are to die for.
