I enjoyed a four hour tour with our guide Conde. We went to Governor basin and the Camp Bird mining area. In addition to the great golden aspens on the trip, our guide provided lots of insights regarding the mining history of the area. I highly recommend this company And will use them when I’m here again next year.

San Juan Jeep Tours is the best way to see all the nature and wildlife around the Ouray area! It is The Worlds Oldest Jeep Tours! Our tour guide was the owner, Greg, and you can trust him with your lives! He is extremely knowledgeable and very nice! My party had an 86 year old woman which he let ride shot gun with her in the car while the rest of us enjoyed the back outdoor seating. He made sure everybody was always comfortable in their spots and provided ponchos and blankets.

We went on Black Bear for our first jeep ride with Greg and it was beautiful and breathtaking. We enjoyed it so much that two days later we went on another jeep ride with Greg. This time we went on Yankeeboy which has a gorgeous waterfall he stops at and lets y’all hike to and enjoy for a little. We enjoyed it so much that once we got back we decided to go on one more tour! This time we took Corkscrew! On Corkscrew we climbed three mountains which went around an old volcano mouth. He took us over the mountain into the town Silverton where we enjoyed lunch with him at a restaurant called Handlebars. It rained on the way back to Ouray but we laughed thru it plus we got to see a Moose!

We were at the KOA just south of town and needed a place to park our RV while we went on a jeep tour. The owner, Greg, instead offered to pick us up on his way into work. Because our driver/guide Keith did such an excellant job, our 3 and a half tour to Yankee Boy Basin was awesome. I took so many pics that my phone died before the end of the tour.

Absolutely the highlight of our trip to Ouray! We couldn’t have been happier picking San Juan Jeep tours and we were lucky to have Keith as our driver and tour guide. We went on the morning tour through corkscrew pass to lake como. We had so much fun we signed up for the afternoon tour to yankee boy basin. Unfortunately it was rainy and foggy for the afternoon but still a lot of fun! Saw a couple moose coming back from the morning tour and also saw some goats, deer, and marmots. Can’t wait to come back to the area to do more tours with this company. Highly recommend!

This was the BEST time that I had on my Colorado trip in September 2024. Our guide and driver Greg took us to so many awesome places, that I can't wait to go back and do it again. Greg also was a fountain of information on the history of the area as well as making history fun for a change.
