You can tell a lot of hard work and dedication went into creating the exhibits in this museum. The third floor Civil War gallery mannequins represent real people and real units that served, both for the North and the South. Interesting, unusual, and fun facts abound throughout the displays. There are prerecorded greetings and interactive opportunities. The model train room is incredible, and the detail amazing. The museum asks for $10 donations as an entrance fee. Stop by and support this homegrown historic treasury!

We rented the meeting room for a class reunion. The space was perfect and Ann was very helpful with accommodating us. I only got a quick glimpse of the museum, but my friends tell me that it is too notch. I will be back to explore it.

The model railroad is fantastic! Even better than the one in Sabula Iowa ! The diesel doctor is a wealth of knowledge, great for the young people to know about Savanna history and definitely don't miss the civil war exibit the third floor! I'm going back many many many times!

3-floors of building space. Third floor was a civil war exhibit, 2nd was a 1950's display of Savanna with the model railroads running

Building itself is in disrepair, but they are trying to bring it back. Nice set-up and layout of exhibits. Worth the trip. They change the exhibits around occasionally, so check their Facebook page before you go.
