At $200 for a room, including their taxes and fees one would expect gold-plated rooms, however the doors and walls in the place are apparently made of cardboard as you can hear your next door or across the hall neighbor having a conversation.

It didn't help that shortly after we checked in, they put a family with a screaming baby across the hall.

The sink didn't drain and there was black mold in the shower. There is lipstick on the pig, but it's not as well maintained as a surface look would make you think.

We didn't stay for their free breakfast - they don't start serving until 7am - long after we were ready to hit the road for the next phase of our trip.

Check in was HORRIBLE!
I’ve stayed in hotels all across the country and MOST were a lot nicer than this place but NEVER EVER have I been charged a$20.00 fee just to check in 2 hours early! They ACTUALLY had rooms ready but wouldn’t let me check in until exactly 2:55 ! So I sat in the lobby for 2 hours while they laughed and played around.
I had to stay in Baxley or I would have drove the 50 miles to a better hotel.
The breakfast was good. Plain scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese, grits, biscuits,gravy and a do it yourself waffle iron. Tiny yogurts and oranges.
Printer at front desk doesn’t work so couldn’t get a printed receipt. The desk clerk’s were all nice except the ones there when I checked in… a young girl and a black lady that was teaching her… NOT the person I’d have teaching customer service!! She was nothing but rude and the young girl was extremely rude. Worst check in to a hotel I’ve ever experienced and I’ve stayed at probably 200 hotels as I travel a lot.
Asked for bottom floor, was given 4th floor room.
Curtain fell in the middle of the night and made me jump out of bed! Light on nightstand didn’t work. But room was clean. The hallways were noisy with children running and screaming and slamming doors. If I have to stay in Baxley again, I might just drive the extra 50 miles to stay somewhere else.

I have stayed here many times and very different this trip. Carpet in the room had that nasty, stickey feeling where you are scared to remove your shoes. NO COFFEE in reception area first 3 mornings. Sign on coffee machine said out of order. Finally, someone went and bought a coffee maker. Come on, a hotel without coffee ? Cleanliness and service have changed for the worse here. Definately not equal to my past experiences here.

We were extremely pleased with our stay here. The staff was very accommodating to our needs. We definitely recommend this hotel over any others in Baxley Ga. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The room pricing is equal to the accommodations.

Positive: The breakfast was very good. Negative: The lady at front desk wanted to charge $20 early check in fee for 30 minute early check in even though we are diamond members. Manager did waive the fee.

Do not stay at the SleepInn. They have bed bugs!! BEWARE!!

Around 4 am on 05/25/2023 I woke up to bed bugs crawling on the bed and pillow.
I called the front desk immediately and requested a room change. I mentioned that I wanted to speak to the manager in the morning with the hopes that she would reach out first. We were given a new room and reluctantly we took it. If we didn’t have a newborn baby we would have left immediately.

11 am rolls around and we still didn’t hear from anyone. So, we went downstairs to check out and to speak with a manager.
We spoke with the receptionist Chelsea about the situation. She left and came back and stated the manager was in a meeting.

I believe a manager with good customer service skills would make sure this was at the top of their priority list. I showed her the two videos and pictures I recorded. Even after showing her evidence, which clearly shows we were in their hotel, Chelsea stated they had someone check the room and didn’t find anything. It was as if she was insinuating our claims were false.

We decided to wait for the manager but the manager never came. We eventually had to leave because we had to attend a graduation party. So I called back at 1:00 pm and the manager was still in a meeting. I left a message for the manager to give me a call. I still haven’t received a call. It’s clear that she is avoiding the situation.
That speaks volumes.

I plan on contacting The Office of Business and Professional Regulations as well as the Division of Hotel and Restaurants. Hopefully they will go in and investigate. In addition to poor customer service, we have to take precautionary measures and spend extra money in order to make sure we don’t take this issue home with our new baby.

For your own peace of mind do not stay here.

Stayed at the Sleep Inn for a wedding this weekend. Upon entry the hotel was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. The staff was very accommodating to everyone who came in. The room was clean. Only down fall is the shower door should be cleaned better, there was soapscum, everything else was great. Went for breakfast at 7am. There was plenty of eggs and bacon and the coffee was good. They also offered ggrits, waffles, muffins, and juice.
