Our central AC stopped working yesterday and it's the hottest it's been all year. I called twice because they were busy, which I understood and was not upset by, I was never once rude when I called either, I just wanted my AC fixed because it is 95+ degrees in our home. When the guy finally came to our home (his name was Greg), he looked at the unit once, looked at our breaker, and looked at our furnace. All he did was tell my girlfriend who was home at the time that it was filthy and he wasn't going to work on our home because it would take him hours and he would rather work on regular customers, and his attitude and demeanor to my girlfriend was rude, and he told her that he would talk to his boss but we should call someone else. And dont get me wrong, i understand his point and where he was coming from, but his overall attitude and demeanor was not that of someone i would want representing my company. Mind you, the person who lived here before was worse about the upkeep and I don't personally know much about the upkeep of HVAC units which is why I called, what I mistakenly thought to be, professionals and I have called this company before when we had an issue with our furnace and had great service then. This time was not great service and I was hoping to be a regular customer of Smith's but I don't think I'll be calling them for service ever again unless this is remedied.

Yep, an edit to update, I am also never recommending them to anyone, I called and spoke to someone in charge and asked what I needed to do on my end to help them do their job so it wouldn't take them hours to fix my ac and the guy just told me to call someone else as they're short on people then hung up on me when I tried to ask another question.

One last edit. I finally was able to get someone from SALINA to come fix our AC today and that guy was very professional and polite. He was here when he said he would be and the job that Smith said would take them hours to do only took this guy 30 minutes and my AC is working better than ever.

I have used smith for years and will continue as necessary. Greg is honest and does exactly what he says he will do. I recently had my furnace replaced and he was willing to explore different options to save money and get the new system installed correctly,on time and right on budget. Great folks.

In the middle of Winter on a Friday I had a blower fan go out on my Heater. I called Smiths. They got a guy very fast 5 minutes in he said what he knew the problem was. he left. and 10 min later The Office calls me to tell me the part would be over $400 and it would be there Monday. I found the same part for $200. The lady that called told me that wasn't possible. So they ordered the part. I waited all weekend and Monday I received no call. Tuesday I called they said it was on the truck and they would call when it came in. Wednesday afternoon I called again and they said it wasnt in yet. but as soon as it was that part was in they would be over. a younger guy who had just graduated (i know this because he told me so) replaced the part. after an hr and half of trying to figure out what was wrong and why it wasnt working he said " Oh I put it on backwards" and laughed.. I was not laughing. I received my bill $732 or something like that. I pretty much refused to pay the balance. How are they going to charge and put me on the no service list when they over charged for their error not mine. other shops that I have called around for the same part advised me that the part is no where near $400...... I feel overcharged and angry because now I am dealing with collectors because ive only paid a small portion of the bill. I feel like They overcharged for the part and definitely overcharged for an hr and a half of work that was done in 15 mins if it was done correctly at the time. I do not recommend this company.

Excellent service finished in a timely manner. These guys make sure the job is done correctly before they leave. Strongly recommended for anyone in the area needing heating or air work completed.
