This is not a place to visit. It is in a military base. When we stopped at the entrance of the base were told that we approached a military institution illegally and was interviewed for 90 minutes before we were released. We were told in no uncertain terms that Space Launch Ten is Not a tourist attraction and is not to be visited despite anything that is on the internet. Do not approach this place without definite invitation or permission.

This museum is a hidden gem on the base. Really amazing exhibits. If you're new to the base I would highly encourage you to pay a visit, especially if you're brand new to the service. It's hard to know where you're going if you don't know where you came from. This museum does an amazing job of instilling heritage and awe at how much we were able to accomplish with so little in such a short about of time in the launch enterprise. Seriously, go check it out, you will definitely learn something

If you are interested in space launch or satellites, and you ever have a chance to visit, definitely do! The curator is extremely knowledgeable and has many personal stories relating to the history of Space. There are many static displays which are great and informational, but it is the curator that makes this an absolute must-see.

If you are at Vandenberg AFB and have the time, I recommend making the drive out to the Space Launch Museum. The curator is extremely knowledgeable and loves to talk about the history of space launch.
