This is a cute little, no frills Motel on US 285 in Springfield, CO. Expedia had messed up my Reservation with another Hotel in Town, so had to look for alternative lodging. It actually worked out as it gave me an opportunity to check this place out. The bathroom was recently remodeled and the rooms were clean, has TV with Dish/Direct TV, microwave, small fridge. I think this will become my preferred lodging for future visits to the area. BTW, I am a middle aged female who was traveling by myself. I felt safe and secure in my lodging.

Super nice & helpful family owned. My room & bathroom were clean. I was lucky to get the last room I had a broken arm & my dog with me & the daughter offered to help me with my suitcase & the family adored my dog. I recommend to anyone.

We really wanted to like this motel, but unfortunately it just wasn’t that good. The front desk lady was very pleasant and nice, but that was the extent of anything pleasant here.

I don’t even know where to begin:

1. The air conditioner operated at one speed - jet engine. It would not go slower or quieter.
2. The sink and tub faucets operated in the incorrect direction and the shower head wouldn’t move and had lousy pressure. The soap would not come off your skin.
3. If you stay here bring bottled water to brush and drink with as the water tasted very bad.
4. The overhead light was interrogation level bright. We tried to turn on the lamp on the wall above the bed and it wouldn’t work.
5. The bed is on a metal frame and if you’re trying to get into bed between the bed and wall you’re guaranteed a broken toe or three. We had asked for a queen and got a double.
6. The pillows are soft. Like fold in half soft. We asked for two additional pillows.
7. Our TV wouldn’t work properly. We had a black strip in the middle which made searching the menu guide impossible.
8. We heard that some rooms were remodeled but we clearly did not get one.
9. I never took my shoes off except to sleep and shower. That says it all.

So happy my friend and I (both females) chose the Starlite for our overnight stop. It was so nice and for $87/night, tax and all, for a double. The bathrooms have been redone nicely, very clean. Microwave, fridge, TV. The staff and other guests were super friendly. I felt safe and comfortable in the room. We slept great, feeling safe cannot be undervalued. Will definitely be marking on the map to stay again. Thank yall!

Friendly staff, fluffy pillows, big comfortable beds. Walking distance from bars and shopping. Great price. Friendly neighborhood. Good centralized location.

Had a wonderful experience with the owners. Had to stop for the night after traveling all day. I was greeted by the new owner. Told him I had an ESA dog with me. He found a room for me and my sis and dog. His wife was also very sweet. Pricing was reasonable. And he made a great cup of coffee in the morning for the road. I'm so appreciative of their kindness, I will stay here again on my travels to and from Texas.

Great hotel with friendly staff. My small group of friends and our young’s sons all stayed here for our prairie dog hunting trip. Super helpful staff and clean rooms. Plan to stay here again for our hunting trip next year.
