A nice campground for the price. Be aware, there is no sewer hookups at site, just dump on the way out. Yes for water and electricity. Peacocks every morning, beautiful!! My dogs got pretty dirty from the sandy sites but had a nice level concrete pad to sit your rig on. No bath house. Toilets only.Park Rangers were great to work with!

Beautiful, quiet little campground, in immaculate shape. the sites are large and we'll spaced apart, with great hookups. Very friendly camp host. You'll find it hard to believe it's only minutes away from civilization!

In route to San Diego from the north ... this was a good stopping point. Park was just a bit out of town in Simi Valley. Site was concrete and very level; had full hookups. We had site #11 which was tucked in the corner among eucalyptus trees. It was a very nice & private site. Bathroom was very clean and they had showers. Seemed like there were people there that may not have been 'camping' per se ... more like temporary housing. Lots of people and cars at some of the sites. We had no problems; it was just an observation. It's a fairly small park, I'd recommend either site #11 or one on outside of loop.

ZERO CELL SERVICE. Otherwise, nice park. I didn't catch the camp host name, but met on arrival, offered to help back us in the site. Waved with a thumbs up on the way out. Very attentive & helpful! Thank you. Unfortunately, I won't be back to visit, as I need service for work. Thanks again!

Highlights:

- Spacious and well-maintained campsites with all necessary hookups.
- Lush greenery and serene ambiance perfect for a nature escape.
- For pet lovers, no trail near-by but large dog park just a 10-minute drive away.
- No mobile signal, only Starlink users will get conneted.

My wife and I recently spent 15 unforgettable days at Tapo Canyon Regional Park in our fifth wheel, and it was an experience we’ll cherish forever.

Arrival and Setup:
From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the well-maintained grounds and the ease of navigating our fifth wheel into our spacious campsite. The park staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making the check-in process smooth and efficient.

Natural Beauty and Serenity:
Tapo Canyon Regional Park is a gem nestled in nature’s lap. The lush greenery, rolling hills, and serene ambiance provided a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Activities and Exploration:
While the park itself does not have direct access to trails, we found plenty of opportunities for adventure nearby. We drove to several fantastic hiking spots in the area, each offering stunning vistas and a chance to immerse ourselves in nature. Additionally, there’s a large dog park just a 10-minute drive away, which was perfect for giving our furry friend some exercise and fun.

Wildlife and Nature Watching:
June was a fantastic time to visit, as we had numerous opportunities to observe local wildlife. A family of peacocks visited us every day, adding a touch of elegance to our stay. We also saw many cottontail rabbits and even some beautiful snakes. These encounters made our experience even more memorable and exciting.

Connectivity:
One thing to note is that there is no mobile signal at all in the park by any operator. This contributes to the park being less crowded, which we appreciated for the tranquility it offered. However, if you need connectivity, as I did for work, only Starlink works here. It was a reliable solution that kept us connected when needed.

Stayed here twice now. Some fellow campers had loud voices and music until 11:30pm, that sucked. Costs $58 per night, including a $10 admin fee. The bathroom and showers are clean. The camping spots are just concrete pads. But it's only one of a few campgrounds in the L.A. area, so it's nice to have it.
