I brought my granddaughter here to attend a birthday party. I hadn't been here in years. I don't remember that much of it but it seems like they have expanded it a lot.
There's a lot of fun things for young children to do and to learn about. My granddaughter had a great time.

WOW!!! What an experience! Took 3 nephews and they had a blast. 1 nephew did the ropes course and he loved it. Super safe and super challenging. All three enjoyed all the interactive experiences. There is something for all ages. Also, very clean, great staff....ALL this at a very reasonable price. We will be back!!!!

Went with my 7 year old and my baby. It was okay. There are 3 floors. There were a few things that did not work or that did not work right. Things stopped working while we were there and had to be fixed. They have a ropes course it was $7 if the child is under 48" then they have to go with some one over 18 but if the child is over 48" then they can go by them self. If the child is under 42" they can not go at all. I would like to see it worked on so the interactions work better next time.

My girls, 2,4, & 6, loved this place! We chose to go here because on their website, and posted on their door, it says that everyone 5 and up must wear a mask. At first, it seemed everyone was complying but as time went on I saw more and more who weren’t. So it doesn’t seem they are too concerned with enforcing their policy which is why we won’t be returning. Lots of activities and a meet little place but don’t seem to care for safety as much as they say they do.

The children's museum is amazing! There's so much to do for all ages. The only issue we had is parking, it's very limited and all surrounding businesses tow. Definitely made it difficult to get in

Hibernia House of Studies from Montgomery County visited the Terre Haute Children’s Museum with six students and another home school with two and found it a very nice place! Very efficient use of space so that it is relatively easy to keep track of an active group of students. We visited on a school day and found it wide open for our group. So many very nice interactive and educational exhibits! Many of them are donated and sponsored by generous local citizens as well as businesses and corporations and the city. All of it was really excellent, even if some items were a bit dated. Three floors! Favorites included the play grocery store, tree house, water works and pipe organ exhibit (16yo), sand box, physics, etc. — too numerous to mention!

The staff was super helpful and friendly, but not very interactive, whatever the policy is there. They might look for numerous opportunities to draw students’ attention to overlooked details of exhibits or help in making the most of interactive experiences. They were most accommodating with their dining area and offering paper plates and other items if needed.

Down sides that could easily be addressed included a low background of unnecessary radio music inappropriate for school children (Ozzy Osborne?!), an outdated food chart with emphasis on grains and less on good fats, and the ag exhibit could meet more interactive (e.g. real grain in the augers). I also read in previous reviews that they required masking as late as 2022. We would be very disappointed and would NOT visit if masks were required. Hopefully the science is well established by now that they would never require that of children again.

Over all a great experience, but to work on some of those things could earn another star (I wish I could give 4.5).

This is an awesome place to bring your kids!! They have so many cool exhibits and activities for the kids to do, and most of them have some sort of lesson to them. This is also a great place to take your kids and have them run around and burn out their energy. There’s so much to do here, and it was genuinely an enjoyable experience! I 100% recommend it if you have kids!
