My group and I always attend a Halloween event every year. It was a toss-up between Scream Acres and Circle of Ash, but we decided on something we never attended before. This was well worth the money. At first, we thought it was going to be brief, but it was at least a 15-minute walk through, full to the brim with scare after scare. The actors were excellent and clearly enjoyed their jobs. And I have to give major props to Kage, the merch man. He went all out for us. The enthusiasm behind that man was outstanding. He clearly really enjoys what he does. Overall, the entire performance was outstanding, and we will absolutely be returning in the future, and we will recommend this attraction to others as well. Thank you for the screams, Heart of Darkness.

Went to the Heart of Darkness tonight and had a frightful experience! Cage was my favorite part it was so cool. Lots of sweet fun merch and trinkets to choose from. There was a tall guy in the main waiting area too that was phenomenal. So much effort was evident in the Haunt and I’ll be back next year 🙂

Kage was such a great employee in (and out of) the gift shop, they helped us navigate our experience and gave us some great scares. I liked their whole outfit and personality and how they stayed in character in the gift shop while helping us find what we might like.
Also we loved the set design, the set designers did a great job of incorporating props in with the actors and the crew was AMAZING inside the corridors. I especially loved the clown house/haunted circus and how everything glowed. We will definitely be coming back. The actors were also very friendly and personable, I loved how they incorporated their voices/personality in with their conversations too. I loved all the jump scares, especially at the end with chainsaws.
I highly recommend this experience, and recommend going on a rainy/cold/less crowded day if you’re worried about wait times, we went on the last day, it was rainy and there was hardly anyone there and it was a ton of fun. Can’t wait to see everyone next year!
Also, we also loved how queer friendly the staff and items in the gift shop were!

So my girl and I on a whim Friday night (10/12/24) decided to go. Now I preface this by saying it was late when we went even though that shouldn’t have mattered because they close at midnight. So we pay $54 for 2 tickets (!) and at 11:30 enter the place. It wasn’t crowded which was nice but you could tell everyone was ready to go home. We walked through 75% of it and never saw a person!! No one jumped out at us or I think didn’t even know we were there. We saw people in the actual amusement walking around with half of there costumes off. 2-3 of the “actors” didn’t even make a noise, act animated, or put any effort into it. I understand long days at work and wanting to go home but until it’s time they could have at least tried. I gave it 2 stars cause some of the animatronics were cool and were much more alive than the actual employees. For almost $60 I should have left smiling not crying. Save your money and buy more candy at least you will for sure get some enjoyment out of that.

I had a fun time, it was pretty scar, I think the chainsaw people had it out for me though... Anyway super fun time! The masked guy in the merch shop was super nice and helped my group and I a lot! For some reason I can't post a picture of him but people have before my review

Had an AMAZING time! My partner and I went for the first time today and had so much fun. The scare actors were so sweet and talented. Kage, who worked in the gift shop was so fun and interactive. We also met Butters the clown whose makeup was awesome and they gave us a ballon animal. And in the beginning we met someone who worked on the set and let me tell you they are so talented. I definitely want to go again next year and would totally recommend. ❤️

My teenage son went with family last night, 11/1/24, and was having a good time, until one of the employees told him to shut up and told him he was annoying. He wasn't screaming or acting crazy at all. He is on the spectrum and tends to be talkative, but it was a rude and unnecessary comment on the employees behalf, and kind of put a damper on his experience.
