We had an awesome morning with Local Guy Charters!! Adam picked us up and dropped us up at the dock. He went out of his way to point out sights and even took us to a park to snap a picture of Mendenhall Glacier. On the boat, Captain Dave knew just where to go to find halibut and WHALES after we caught our fish. Deckhand Ike was very helpful as we tried to get a bite!! We had a truly wonderful morning. I highly recommend Local Guy Charters!

Juneau Alaska is so beautiful and has so much to offer. We went with The Local Guys Charters and Sightseeing yesterday September 29th. We wanted to catch Halibut and Salmon if possible even though it was later in the season.
Captain Andrew and his Deck hand Ike were excellent and took care of us. Andrew had on Halibut a few minutes after we parked over the honey hole! It wasn’t long and we had 3 Butts (chickens) caught. We all caught fish. That went so fast we the trolled for Silver Salmon. Within a short time we doubled on 2 Silver Salmon and brought them in too. What a blast!!
We saw Whales, Deer on shore a beautiful rainbow and even a Sea Otter ?!! I can’t recommend these guys enough!! 10 out of 10!!
I’d go again in a second. You should check them out! Great people and memories for a lifetime.

We had a wonderful trip with Captain Matthew!! He put us on fish and was great company! Adam the owner of the company is a great a guy and good conversation. He picked us up from our cruise ship and brought us back after we were done fishing. The deckhand, Ike, was also a pleasure to fish with. Overall such a wonderful experience! We had our fish packaged and shipped home to Michigan with ease. Thanks to all involved! I highly recommend Local Guys Charters

Had a great 4-hour halibut charter yesterday with The Local Guys. We had an excellent time. We limited out early with nice fish and as you can see in the photo, had time to catch a silver salmon as well. They transported us to and from hotel, arranged fish cleaning and even helped us get a cab to the airport. The captain and mate were friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. Would definitely fish with them again, not just because we were successful, but because it was a professional operation and great boat / crew.

I am not typically one to write reviews but Matthew and Kaden were amazing at what they do. I have been on fishing charters all over the country and they are hands down the best we have had. They are very honest and upfront with what they expect for the day the go over what is planned. They are willing to accommodate what you want to do but I would highly recommend just doing what they suggest is best and going with it. Some people may have issue with the the fact they are younger, Matthew in college and Kaden just out of high school, but the knowledge they have of the fish, surrounding area and when are where to go is remarkable. It was also nice to have a captain and deck hand that could have fun and knew when to be serious. We initially booked a 6hr charter for one day but after the first day we all wanted to try to book a second 6hr trip, which with a little moving around by the owner we were able to do.

Dave and Caleb are very knowledgeable and had many great insights to help us successfully catch and reel in our halibut! We also got a large coho! We had the extra added bonus of seeing whales, seals and jellyfish.
We highly recommend these men on charter!

Trip of a lifetime! It's exactly what you want—small boat, total customizable experience, with a local family who know the area, are connected to the whale chatter. I'd book again with them next time through town!
