I started volunteering here in the summer time. Freshly healed from a horrible roll over accident that ended with my baby being born a sleeping angel. My mom was connected with this place and brought me here to volunteer for the day after hearing they offer an Equestrian therapy session and not a day goes by where I regret coming with her. I’ve grown to love this ranch and gained a second family while being here. I haven’t ever dreaded coming here on my scheduled shifts. I find it hard to leave when it is time to leave. I don’t know where my life would be if I didn’t come here when I first did and I don’t want to know where I would be without this place. I thank Bill and Syd for everything they’ve done for me while I’ve been here and hope that this place continues on the upward path that it’s been on🤍

Had so much fun and our daughter got to experience something she never had before!
8/7/24 we still love going out to see all the animals! Just did on-boarding to volunteer and help out as well!!!
Decorating, helping with Santa, helping Field Trips teach the kids, hanging with the animals...it's all fun and I've learned so much volunteering!!!

My kids 12, 8, and 6 absolutely loved this ranch! Very well taken care of with friendly staff. We are looking forward to regular visits.

My five year daughter loved it here! The staff was friendly & informative and she learned a great deal from Dawn. Her favorite part was definitely checking out the ponies but the llama deserves an honorable mention too. We’d love to bring her back when she’s older to ride the horses as well.

Been at this ranch for majority of the year; I've been here through multiple different staff and have had tons of wonderful opportunities to make amazing strides in my experience with horses, Pili is a phenomenal horse director and has gone above and beyond to improve to conditions of all the animals and the environment as a whole the past several months. Syd has been a delight to work with and I've been incredibly thankful to spend most of my days here now. This place is definitely a second home. Highly encourage anyone to spend even just a day out here!

Volunteering here is my first real exposure to equines up close, and I've never felt more welcome and well informed! The staff I've met are all happy to teach those who want to learn more about their animals. I Highly recommend them for kids birthday parties as well, I've never seen a birthday girl/boy leave without a big smile and a greater appreciation for horses! ☺️

I really wanted to love this ranch. I have been in the Equine world all my life. This facility needs some major TLC. I was hoping I could volunteer and help them out a bit, from their nightmare mucking routine, to their horrible filthy water conditions, I realized no matter how much I scrubbed or mucked it would just go back to how it was, because there’s no standards. I was treated very rudely here. I was discriminated against for my tattoos and yelled at. I’m not the only one who has tattoos. I also dress in modest equine attire. If you’d like you be judged and ridiculed in a poorly run establishment, this is the barn for you!

EDIT: I posted about my experience online and these are the comments I started receiving. People from this ranch took time to find me online and personally attack me! This is very unprofessional and evil behavior.

The CEO and founder of this reputable organization is nothing but kind hearted, dedicated, giving and passionate about her mission to support active military, military vets, first responders, firefighters, police force and healthcare providers. If you are a volunteer who was not happy with your time on the Ranch, it is because we have high standards when it comes to giving our guests the best memorable experience as possible.

We are a great organization that “gives back” to the community.
