Loved the tour! Highly recommend. Great place doing great things for wildlife. Very clear the animals are well cared for and that their comfort and protect it put first. Nothing is for show - it’s not a zoo. It’s the only place I would go see animals like this in captivity because you know it’s for all the right reasons and none of the wrong reasons. It’s a place worth supporting.

Incredible place to visit to not only see some big cats up close but also to appreciate such kind and caring people who give there all for their safety and survival.
Wish more income was there so that they could do even better and improve the infrastructure, but such a valuable place to have, to see and to try to support.

It was nice to learn about the work the foundation does to rescue and care for these amazing big cats. The staff are friendly and passionate. The animals are beautiful and some are curious enough to come up to visitors for attention and pictures.

I was delighted that my friend invited me to a tour at Shambala Sanctuary. This place provides rescued big cats and exotic animals the ability to live out full lives, in an open and natural environment, by passionate staff and care takers.

If you're expecting a place where you can pet the cats or take a close up selfie with them, this is not the place for you. This is a non-for-profit that educated the public about how unethical and inhumane the practices of owning and trading exotic animals. There are more tigers bred and sold in the United States than in the wild.

The cats here are healthy, their coats are beautiful, and they look very relax. The staff at Shambala are absolutely passionate about their mission.

I recommend this place to anyone who want to learn more about conservation and to see these majestic creatures up close.

This is a really wonderful sanctuary if you ever want to see some big cats, learn about them and still feel good about how they're being treated. The volunteer workers are immensely respectful of the animals and all visitors are expected to be the same. Their mission to care for these majestic felines, that are unable to be released into the wild, is commendable. I can't think of a better wildlife organization to spend my money at.

Hard to get reservations, but fun to visit and a good cause to donate to. They have done such a good job, they may run out of big cats to save.
