I happened to stop by the museum and battlefield during the commemoration of the anniversary of the battle. The museum itself is small but packed with information, and the battlefield itself is easy to stroll. It wasn’t a particularly large battle, but it’s interesting to see the place that had such an outsized impact in early US history. If you have any interest in US history this is definitely worth your time.

A very unique place to visit. Lots of historical significance for US expansion onto native American territory. Unfortunate that they were not able to record how many native Americans passed in the battle or that significance. Very nice museum there with friendly staff as well.

Great stop on the way home to stretch our legs. Very nice and thoughtfully curated museum. Super helpful cashier, and the grounds were beautiful and serene.

Small but informative museum with a very friendly, knowledgeable manager! The grounds and monument area are beautiful and well maintained. We had a nice visit and look forward to visiting again next time we are in Indiana!

A powerful, moving experience. A visit to this hallowed ground was already worth the trip, but the staff at the museum and nature center made me end up staying for hours.
Very, very informative, great bookstore, a self guided tour, very quiet and peaceful.
The nearby nature trail by the creek is also worth visiting.

Explore this area.. Make sure you find Prophet's Rock. Explore the little town of Battleground.. read the history of the Methodist Camp that sat on this property and the college in the 1860s. Rich history that could easily be missed.
