We visited our husband, who’s in training here, with our little one, who loves trains. We arrived early to play at the nearby playground and then headed to the train area. The staff was incredibly friendly, informative, and had a great sense of humor. The train ride cost $5 per person, and we also opted for the tour.

Great place to visit, Phillip was great! as well as the other gentlemen who took the time to answer all the questions I had on the tour. The train ride was better than anticipated. It was about 20 minutes long that goes around the park. Will definitely stop by again 🚂

Amazing layouts, in particular de HO. Very detailed. Excellent museum. Guided tours by very kind folks. They run trains during the visit. Due to time we didn’t ride the outdoor train pictured, but it is quite a large set up!

Love this museum! We went there on a gray chilly day while visiting Alamogordo. Neither of us are big train enthusiasts but we both thoroughly enjoyed the museum. Our tour guide was extremely informative and enthusiastic. He made it so interesting and fun. So many trains are in there, the place is incredible! Totally worth a visit.

My mom and I went there for my dad because he absolutely loved trains, and he collected them as well. Unfortunately, he passed away two months ago, so this was in his honor.
This is a very amazing place to go because of the amount of trains they have. The people who work there know so much about trains as well.
It's so worth the time to get there, and it doesn't cost a lot.

The mere are great toy trains here set up in detailed exhibits. Our guide was great. There is a train available to go around outside of museum. We didn’t visit with kids but they all appeared to enjoy it.

Quaint little visit if you're looking for a fun stop. Philip was very knowledgeable, fun and engaging. Whether you know a thing or two about trains or if you are a complete novice, you can learn something here and have a little fun while doing it. They even have an outdoor miniature train ride too.

This little museum and train ride was a lot of fun. It has a lot of neat train layouts in the museum. They give guided tours to educate you about the history of trains. The train ride provided much excitement for my kids. The guy that gave us the ride was very friendly. He seemed to really enjoy his job. They also have some train memorabilia for sale. The things they had were not bad priced. See the pictures below for their hours. Google has the hours posted wrong. This is a great stop if you have a train enthusiast in your family.
