Had the BEST time.. solved the escape room with 3 minutes left! The room is super cool, the puzzles are super fun! it’s a great date night idea ! Thaddeus was the best room host!!! i would definitely recommend this establishment! and just remember, if they don’t answer the phone it’s because the amazing staff is hosting a game. have grace, you can always book online!

If I could give zero stars I would. I had a last minute emergency and tried to reschedule for a later time. The gentleman I spoke to was extremely rude and said I could not push back the time unless it was a 3:30 appointment. Meanwhile on the website there were a BUNCH of different time slots available in the time frame I was hoping to get. His excuse was “well on the back end I’m showing fully booked” but on the website it showed SOO MANY slots available. A few minutes later I received a call from a lady asking us if we were still coming for our slotted time, and I explained to her the above. Her response was she had no idea and she didn’t know who I had spoken to but she could’ve rescheduled us at a better time that worked for us, and that she was going to speak to her supervisor about the matter. In any case we ended up at an escape room in rockaway and not only were they extremely accommodating but they were a pleasure to deal with unlike the gentleman that answered the phone from Trap Door. We will not be visiting trap door in the future and will not be recommending this place to anyone. However the other establishment in rockaway has gained a repeat customer.

Clearly I’m not the only person who’s had a similar issue with your poorly run business based off of other reviews here. In any case, why is it that the lady who called said other time slots were available after you said they were not? I even asked to call right back to see if the time slot you offered would work for my wife and I, as we were restricted for time because we had to hire a babysitter. Your response was “Well if you don’t pick it now i can’t do it later”. But according to the other lady it could have been done? Also it had nothing to do with getting a full 60 minutes. I actually called as a courtesy as we were stuck in traffic, so that you may utilize our spots for someone else if need be. But you, the owner, have zero customer service skills, and had you not been so rude over the phone we still would have come 60 minutes or not. Based off my conversation with you over the phone and some of your replies to other reviews, You are clearly in the wrong business. You should also consider refunding the people that you took money from knowing your business was closed. I will be more than happy to spread awareness on social media to stay far away from this place. Have a great night.

Unfortunately I have not been here so this review is solely based on our experience communicating with them in regards to a reservation we had there a couple of weeks ago. There was a snow storm coming right at the time of our reservation, so we called early that morning to try to reschedule. The person we spoke with said it was impossible to reschedule or get a refund of our money back ($33 per person, 6 people). We then got a call from a different person later that night saying that they would be happy to reschedule due to the storm. We told them we needed to touch base with the rest of our party and get back to them by Monday with a rescheduled date. Sure enough, we called on Monday and the person we spoke with said, again, it was IMPOSSIBLE to reschedule or get a refund. After we explained that someone called us and told us otherwise, they said they doubted that to be true, and they'd have to check and get back to us. This was 2 weeks ago. They have not called us back or returned any of our calls and voicemail that we left. It's too bad, we were SO excited to try this place and have it be something new we did with friends! It's the worst customer service experience I've seen, honestly. Not to mention we lost $200 in the process.

My wife and I did the puzzles and corks experience in Morristown for date night and it was great! Needs a few tweaks because some of the clues don’t quite make sense or things are written sloppily and don’t look the way they are meant to but our host Thaddeus was amazing! He was funny, personable, and helpful when we asked for hints. He made the experience so much more enjoyable and we will definitely go back and try the escape rooms next time!

Awesome experience with my 4 friends. Chill experience with Sean being our game master. The Day of the Dead is the hardest one and was definitely worth it. I love escape rooms, check this one out if you’re in the area.

Edit: overtime I’ve come to learn that incentivizing 5* reviews for discount tickets does not truly reflect the quality of an escape room. With more experience I had to edit this to say that, of the escape rooms in NJ, this is the lowest on my list due to the quality of the rooms feeling like someone just made an escape room with super glue and party city supplies. They feel like an escape room that you would make in your back yard for children. I’d try one of the more elaborate one check out The Escape Game and you’ll have higher standards.

Booked a room here before a birthday dinner reservation. Cass was super enthusiastic and checked us in swiftly upon arrival and brought us to our room. She gave us the run down, asked if we had any questions (we did, and she graciously answered!), and left us to solve the case to escape! The room theme we did was Witch Hunt. Just the right amount of spooky for me! My group and I found the room to be modestly challenging and we did need a few hints…but everything came together and we escaped! Would recommend this business and hopefully my group and I are able to travel back to this location to try out the other rooms. Thank you Cass and staff!

We rented out the room for freakshow. We were told it fits 16 so we paid for 16. We luckily didn't have all 16 show because the room did not have enough for everyone to do. We had 10 people and it felt like there was 16. We had like 3-4 people crowded around each puzzle which is fine until it became linear and there was only 1 puzzle to do at a time. We finished in about 30 minutes with 1 hint because the puzzle we were working on was very sensitive. Overall it was a decent experience but not worth what we paid and we would have probably had a better time with half the amount of people. They really need to reconsider how many people per room.
