Wow, what a true labor of love and hard work. Built completely from reclaimed wood from around the Anderson County area, barns, ammunition factories, and others. This building is a wonder of craftsmanship, honoring and appreciating the vintage and rustic love of the country lifestyle.

I had the pleasure to be married in this venue, and I couldn't imagine a more picture perfect setting. My wife liked stunning walking down the grand case, down the aisle, and ip front with me with the sun setting over the trees and natural prairie in the back ground, a true moment of beauty.

The owners are the most down to earth and understanding people I have ever come across. The price is extremely right for what they provided to my family and I on my big day! They truly went above and beyond to make my day special.

Not to far south from the hustle and bustle of the great Kansas City area. You will not regret ever coming down here for any occasion.

I don’t hardly know where to begin…I guess I will start with a simple, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A WEDDING VENUE (or a venue for any kind of event), YOU MUST CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!!

Not only are the barn and the grounds beautiful, but the owners are wonderful to work with! They were gracious, helpful, generous, accommodating…and so much more! Their willingness to go the extra mile to make my daughter and son-in-law’s day as magical as possible really touched our family. Their creativity, attention to detail, and added touches conveyed to us that they were “invested” in our day, and not just there to provide an event space. Jody Troyer is a class act, and respectfully walked that line between offering suggestions and being quietly supportive. She was masterful at this and as a mother-of-bride, that was incredibly helpful for me. From my daughter’s perspective, her feelings were much the same.

Working with Jody and her family was definitely one of the highlights of that day, and the months leading up to it.
It was apparent that the Troyer’s ultimate goal was to provide not only an amazing backdrop for this special event, but also to aid in making an all-too-often stressful event, more of a smooth experience. I truly believe they accomplished this goal for the bride and groom, for our family, for our vendors, and for our guests.

I could speak more of the barn itself…the gorgeous reclaimed barnwood walls, the beautiful architecture, the open and ample layout, the sprawling porch, the “rustic-meets-elegance-meets-whimsy” details…but instead, jump on the website and see for yourself! The photos do not disappoint!

This venue is a gem! The town and its people are positively lovely, and we highly recommend this spot when looking for the perfect place to share your special day!

Troyer's Prairie Gold is a wonderful event space! I highly recommend this as a wedding venue! The owners have certainly taken great care to provide such an inviting and lovely space for family & friends to gather to celebrate! The owners are incredibly helpful and caring to assure the space is perfect for the wedding day!
The setting is beautiful, the venue is very well maintained and absolutely lovely! It was a perfect place for my son's wedding!

Perfect venue!! Management is involved and incredibly helpful. Everything you could need for any event. Full kitchen, sleeping room, bathrooms, full length mirrors, ice machine and many amenities to assist with food and beverage service for a very large crowd. I could go on and on about the extra large parking area and the absolutely beautiful setting but you just need to check it out for yourself for your next event.
