We were on a road trip from Rockford IL to Douglas Georgia and we were on a tight budget. On the way down we stayed at some one star places which were based off false reviews. The Western Inn and Suites was an amazing surprise. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out we had a wonderful stay. The rooms were very clean and spacious, in a standard room you have a sitting area with a couch, coffee table, desk and chair and is separate by a half wall is the bed, tv and bathroom. We had a king size no smoking room (the hotel has smoking rooms). We are smokers but we don't smoke indoors which wasn't an issue because it's an open hotel which I mean all rooms open up to the outside. I would definitely stay again if I was in Douglas again. I couldn't have asked for anything better in my budget. In my opinion it was better than what we paid.

My husband and I got stranded in town overnight when our truck broke down. Most of the places in town were completely booked. So going down the list we booked here. We called front desk to book, gentleman was very pleasant, he directed cleaning staff to get a room ready. When we got there shortly after calling, the room was ready. Is it fancy, no. Could it use updating, yes. But it was clean, comfortable. No bad smells, no bugs. I was concerned when after booking I then scrolled reviews, I know, but with the shortage of rooms we impulsively booked. Turned out to be not bad at all. We were w/o a vehicle and pleasantly surprised at the places to eat and get essentials within a short walking distance. Overall not a bad experience at all.

O stars if possible. They continue to delete my Google
review but I won't stop until more people are aware.
SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSE WHERE. This place is filled
with roaches, bedbugs, and has a disturbing smell. We
had booked two rooms for two nights with queen
beds.upon arrival they told us the rooms weren't
available and gave us one room with two twin beds. I
attempted to get a solution from the manager at the
time but they were nasty and rude pretty much saying
it's non refundable and it's not their problem. We
were exhausted from our trip and decided to "rest"
hoping tomorrow would be a better day. WRONG! It
was 3 am and there was noise coming from left to
right. The following morning my kids and I woke up to
rashes good thing we didn't sleep under the cover nor
touched the pillows. Restroom was incredibly filthy it
was suppose to be a non smoking facility but you
could see deals being done right in the front. This
place should be demolished! Completely disgusting.
We had to book our second night elsewhere not to
mentioned they charged us $380 guys!!!! Worst thing
about it all, some of our belongings were missing

Never book online ahead of time here. The hotel adds some extra fees before you get there and type it on a paper. Even when you book online the front desk charges you an extra $55 dollars. They will say the website didn’t include taxes and charges when clearly every website does and always. Then they pull out some paper they typed up themselves. When you ask to see the paper they just flash it to you but let you read. Online the price is $44.00 a night and they charge you $67.00 a night with no breakfast here and the room is raggedy. Ask for a receipt! They don’t tell the truth. Jameson inn in Douglas Georgia is $70 a night! The rooms are very nice and they have breakfast. GO TO JAMESON INN! Don’t let them scam you.

I showed up at this place recently one morning to get a room. It was around a quarter til 8. I was from out of town and needed a room until the following morning.
I rung a buzzer and a woman finally came to the window. She told me that it was too early and to come back in 30-35 minutes. I was kind of beat and didn't really want to look elsewhere at the time, so I waited out in the parking lot for what actually amounted about 45 minutes. Now mind you, the parking lot only had a handful of vehicles in it at the time.
When I returned, the same woman told me it was still too early and that they did not have any rooms. I don't know what the heck was going on but they clearly wasted my time and I was furious. To top it off, the woman said that she had to get back to her baby and that it was crying. I heard no baby crying.
I ended up going to Jamison Inn right down from this place and they were the nicest people ever, great service and great rooms. I know where not to go the next time I have to stay over in Douglas, GA.

Our company booked this hotel for 2 employees to stay for 2 nights. When they arrived the woman at the customer service desk wouldn't check in the 2 employees without the credit card that made the reservation. I called to request an credit card authorization form so it may be filled out so they employees can be checked-in. The woman at the desk refused and become so upset she cancelled our reservations. I had to find another hotel who had no problem checking in on our employees and emailing the credit card authorization form. I do not recommend this hotel for other businesses; our company has stayed at this hotel over 10 times each time the desk staff have been extremely rude. When I called to speak with the manager the owner stated it was his wife and I was wrong not her. As I read the other reviews I see I am not the only one who has had issues with his wife. WE WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN

This place is disgusting and not up to normal standards!!!! If I could give it a negative rating I would. I walked in the bathroom and it’s roaches and flies in the toilet. I was bitten on my legs. I literally had to bleach the whole place and I still was not comfortable. The bed had brown stains all on the sheets. I’m just getting started. I went to complain to the Indian lady and I stood there for 20 mins for help. The lady waited till I walked out to come to the front and I heard her in the back. When I spoke to her and told her what was wrong she was very nasty and I asked for a refund. She acted like she didn’t understand and told me it was my problem. Nasty lady. I wanted to speak to a manager and she said they won’t be until 1 a.m.! I told her I would be back and the lady locked the door. I will be reporting her and that place. Very unprofessional and very rude toward paying customers. They will get a lawsuit. Do not go here!!!!!! Save your money and time!
