This was our family’s third trip with WHOA! Tripp and Bobby were our guides and they were excellent for our four hour tour. This trip took us north of the harbour, that was a first for us. Tripp was very skilled and patient in trying to find us Marine life and he was very successful. We saw Shoebox size sharks, Spinner dolphins, Bottlenose dolphins, and Humpback whales. We were fortunate enough to see a whale jump and breach. We recommend this tour to all our family and friends, and they all have had an excellent time! This is an excellent locally owned company with the only navy extraction boat on the island!

Just recently was here for my honeymoon vacation. This boat trip was amazing and life changing!!! If you want a real ocean adventure this is the place to do it. We got to swim with some whales and sharks!!!! Swim in one of the most beautiful coral reefs in the world at captain cooks. Also the crew was very nice and gave us a little tour of the big island and all the history of the island. Highly recommend this tour and these guys know how to show you have a good time when on the big island!!!!

We had an awesome experience with the manta ray tour. Our guides were highly experienced and kind. I am glad we booked with them vs. other manta tour companies. Not only was the retired navy vessel super unique, but our experience was much more private. We had a 15 min ride along the coast with the most beautiful sunset to get to the manta's in one of the coves off the Kona coastline. Being in the water at night with the mantas themselves was terrifying at first but they are so graceful and beautiful. It was a life changing experience! Highly recommend!

Everything was provided - wet suits & snorkels. The guys were great. The mantas were awesome. They swam right underneath us doing belly rolls. Super cool! (& no sharks for those wondering!) saw lots of fish & eels as well. The ride on the Navy Seal boat was pretty freaking awesome too! This tour - in our opinion - was much better than the bigger tour companies. You get better more soecialized service & attention without having to deal with a boat full of people. Side note : the restrooms are closed when you get back so limit your fluid intake!

Big thanks to Brett and Bobby who took us out. Really great experience and super knowledgeable guides. Headed straight out and saw dolphins, then headed to a few sites where we saw loads of fish and small sharks. Both Brett and Bobby knew where to look and find the wildlife and lots of guided time in the water. All equipment snacks and water included, boat super fast and in really good order. If you are into free diving and snorkelling or just seeing wildlife this is the charter to pick.

That was a blast! This is not your average tour. It’s a fun ride out in a navy seal boat with two great guys Tripp and Kelly. This is a tour for the more adventure minded. We swam with a Shark!! I wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

We did the Offshore Blue Water Adventure with Brett and Kelly and loved it! They took us pretty far around the southern end of the island looking for whales, and along the way pointed out interesting sights and historical locations. Sadly we didn't see any, even though Brett did his best to find some. But that's how it goes sometimes - marine animals aren't on the payroll and can't be expected to show up in specific places at specific times.

The boat is a Navy Seal assault boat and it's a lot of fun to ride - it's a jet boat (no propeller) which makes it fast, maneuverable, and safer for snorkeling. Be warned that there are only a couple seats, and everyone else has to stand (with back support, so it's not uncomfortable or dangerous). It was a surprisingly smooth ride given how fast we were going.

While we didn't see any whales or sharks, we did see plenty of other animals - dolphins (which you can only watch from on the boat - it's illegal to swim with them), a manta ray, a bait ball, and lots of smaller fish at Kealakekua Bay.

The boat is very fun. Crew is friendly and knowledgeable. Swam with pilot whales, saw humbacks and a special sighting of sperm whales. Highly recommended.
