Pros: The View is great, Very friendly and accommodating staff, and very clean room.

Cons: Beds really bad. They were so worn that your feet are elevated higher than your head and they were springy and worn beyond their usefulness. The AC /Heating unit EXTREMELY LOUD. We both had to wear earplugs in order to sleep.

We love clear lake but will probably stay in Mason City next trip.
The view was great but not work a horrible nights sleep. Next trip we'll simply set on the beach or watch the sunset from the car.
Some people came in at 1:30 am and had absolutely no respect for those of us sleeping. I understand that it was the weekend, but they could have at least used their inside voices.

It looked very clean, except there was little black bugs everywhere. On the towels, on the bed, on the couch. I’m not sure if this is normal for this time of year or something. But I woke up with numerous bites, I’m hoping they weren’t bed bugs and they were something else because I would really hate to be taking home bed bugs with me. Service was wonderful though, and they got us a room last minute because we forgot to fully book the room online. I don’t want to complain too much because I know bugs can be invasive during certain times of the year places.

The bed was very comfortable. The room was newly remodeled but already in need of repair. There was a light cover missing over the bathroom sink, the ceiling in the bathroom looked like it had been repaired but not very well, as well as needing paint in several places. The air conditioner must not have been working right because the room was like a swamp. Even the floor felt damp. Considering how much we paid for the room I would've thought it would be in better shape. The view of the lake was great, and we had a couple of very tasty Moscow Mules. Everyone who worked there was very nice.

We stayed here about 10 days after labor day. We previously stayed here about two years ago, and enjoyed the availability of the bar and Grill for dinner. The bar and grill was closing for the season, the day after our stay, and was not serving meals (no mention of this when we made our reservation). Our beds (both queens) were horrible, the mattresses were worn out, and felt like sleeping in a huge catcher's mit! The small refrigerator and the A/C unit kept us awake most of the night, making a terrible racket. At almost $200 for the night, the stay was incredibly overpriced!!!

My husband and I had a wonderful two-night stay here while on a motorcycle trip. We had a first floor room with a patio. There is on-site parking. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was immaculate, the sheets were soft, the bed was very comfortable. The bath towels are large and also very soft.||This is a renovated inn and it shows. It is very clean. The restaurant is not slated to open until Memorial Day, but there are many eating options close by. The inn is right on the lake and boat rentals are available. The inn faces west, so there are beautiful sunsets.||I would not hesitate to stay here again, but reservations may be hard to come by during tourist season. Just a very nice place to stay.

We always stay here when we visit Clear Lake for just a night or two. Clean rooms with views and the staff if always kind and helpful. It’s basic, but that’s part of its charm!

First time we stayed at Lakeside a few years back, with my daughter was nice. Thought it would be a nice to stay there with my son and husband to celebrate father's day. I was excited to share the experience with my husband and son, only to be completely let down!! Beds were uncomfortable, room air-conditioning/fan was so loud we hardly slept, and the biggest issue was no hot water to take showers. We assumed it it would be fixed by morning, but it wasnt. When we wanted to let the front desk know, but there was no staff to report the issue to! For the price it costs to stay there a night, you tend to have high expectations! Not to mention there was no coffee made. We had to use a kurig to make our own.
Not sure I will ever be back:(

Took a couple of days away and stayed at the Lakeside Inn. Despite the rainy weather, we had a great time! The weather did clear, and we got to enjoy the patio and the view. The Hotel and the Staff were amazing!
